You talking about 00:17? Yea that appears to be 9th. But I think last I heard they weren't on good terms (again lol).

Yeah 17 sec mark.

As far as I know they aint been fukkin with him since they started working on MTLW. But i'm sure they'd let him tell his side of the story for an entity he was involved in. I'm sure the doc will show how little he was involved with the day to day of LB. DJ Flash (tour DJ'n) and Khyrsis (studio/engineering) were more heavily involved than 9th

I assumed that was old footage of 9th. He doesn’t fukk with them and vice versa…it’s fair to assume he has no involvement in something that likely includes them taking shots at him.

9th interview from earlier this week. He speaks on his current relationship with LB :mjcry: . It's timestamped.

That’s a pretty neutral reaction. Just sounds like friends that drifted apart.

Side note that’s big of him to shout out Illmind and Khrysis, and he even mentioned chitlin circuit which I think was mainly Khrysis. Khrysis’ best work is just as good as 9th’s best. 9th probably just more consistent

Yea it was a pretty diplomatic response, I'm just sad it doesn't seem there will be any reconciliation. You have to understand that 2-album run they had blew my mind at the time. May have been all I listened to for weeks. And yea Khrysis is dope in his own right, 9th was rightfully gracious towards him.

Yea I’m right there with you. Not only the LB work but I remember after the break up 9th had a tresure trove of beats to the Justus league cats. Some of the best beats a ton of people probably never heard of

And Phonte is in my top 5. I’ve ran into him a few times at roots picnic (ironically goin on this weekend) and he’s always real cool dolo unassuming

I've seen him live 2x (once with LB and another time with F. Exchange). Put on a hell of a show both times. and then legit took pics and talked with any fans who wanted to after the show. Just chill and humble dudes that do appreciate the fans. And yea Phonte is probably in my top 5 as well. I've also said he could have success as a comedian too.

9th is right. Right Here is an amazing LB song

:salute:. Wish I could rep some of yall boys, I forgot all about this. Also reminded me of Strange Fruit Project. Damn!

:francis: 9th has all but explicitly said he's done with Little Brother. Let it go, brehs.

9th hasn't done much post-LB that has made me think they need him.

I'm talking as somebody who listens to every Jamla release. 9th is good but he isn't special or spectacular.

9th reuniting with LB would only be a nostalgia play. Anything they need from him musically can and has been gotten from other sources (see May the Lord Watch)

I'm not holding on to anything just saying you can't tell the LB story without 9th so I'm not going to be fully invested without his input. Just Pooh, Phonte, and guests speaking but not the producer behind the sound is going to be awkward. There's no way to watch and ignore that especially if they go into the break up and only tell their side.

Nah, 9th is way better than good. He's not Dilla reinventing the wheel but he has a sound he mastered and can crank out a high volume of quality work.

I will say a lot his most spectacular work was in his earlier days. I still listen to those instrumentals.

Ya'll misreading me.

9TH makes it clear he's moved past LB.

I'm not saying he's useless or trash or a footnote.

It's weird in 2022 to still expect 9th to contribute to the legacy anymore. He either felt trapped by, felt he outgrow, etc., etc. Little Brother, but, he's done.

I don't even expect him to acknowledge the existence of LB, anymore.

You're basically boycotting LB over something that happened when I was in high school (the OG breakup).

I think it's weird. :yeshrug:

Ali didn't have any contribution to the last tribe album and Phife had past away...it was basically two members (plus Cons) putting the album together and it's close to their best work.
