That’s really my point. If someone you like is there and you filled other needs, why not......
Too many holes to fill. U passing up a WR, guard, or defensive tackle for a project qb? Mind u there arent any sure fire qbs past the 1st round.

That's ignorant as he'll when we arent even a rebuilding team

There's too many real issues that need to be addressed for us to even be having a real discussion about it TBH. I'm with you through: DT (because Poe is probably gone), G (both guards need to be upgraded) and WR (they might let Gabriel walk, Hardy is just a guy, we need a new stud). shyt I'd throw TE in there now...just something about Hooper didn't sit right with me this year. I really think if we can find a legit TE, not a late round bum like Eric Saubert from Drake last yr, I'd draft him in the middle round. Probably need a swing Tackle who can play both LT & RT too. Maybe a RB...but a QB would be asinine for TD or Quinn to consider

I just don't even see them seriously looking...they'll do their draft board and scout guys like they always do but there are so many other legit needs why do it? I don't think drafting a guy only to potentially trade him away after a couple of season like NE did with Brissett is a good long term strategy

TD has already made it apparent that G is a Free Agent move...........

I think it's short sighted to think that won't look at. We have more than two picks.................

We have 2 holes at guard. DQ actually met with Isaiah Wynn yesterday at the senior bowl. We have a hole at wr and tight end. DT is for sure another priority.

I can see a free agent guard and drafting one. We not taking a position that has no shot at playing time next year. Hell we also could use depth at LB , FS, and a new fb.

Youre pretty adamant tho, who is this qb you are drooling over?

I'm not drooling over anyone. Just surprised you guys don't think it's a possibility.

I tell u what is possible. Denver inquired about sending us trevor Semian for a 7th round pick to be our backup and cut schaub. Saving us 3 million.

Thats realistic without us giving up much draft capital. I think eventually we draft a long term qb but that wont start until Matt Ryan has like 2 years left.

U dont want to draft a qb too early and be put in the position the patriots were where u have to decide if youre going to franchise tag the backup.

U may be thinking we can trade him like the pats did but for every garoppolo there is a lot more Nathan petermans and Logan Thomas. U aint getting shyt for those and U cost yourself a player at a position of need.

I would take the Semian deal if that is real.

I hear you but they traded Brisset for a former first rounder. It can happen

My thoughts/questions

I think we have a limited window, I'd rather get a veteran guard that's a tier below Alex Mack instead of drafting an unknown.

Does anyone actually believe hooper is good enough to be our starting tight end?

They keep throwing Trevor Siemens name around as a potential backup qb. I personally like it :yeshrug:. I don't think Schaub is worth $4 mill a year and I think we need to develop a young backup.

I'd like to get a bigger rb in finally just a guy who can get that 4th and 1. We gotta get fancy on plays like that bc our rbs are small.

I'd like Claiborne back and am indifferent about Poe. I don't think neither should get guaranteed money past year 1 on whatever contract they sign.

I'd like a 5/6 wr who's over 6'2. We literally lost a game this year when senu and jones went out bc the rest of our WRs are so small.

And get rid of nick Williams :hhh: what has he shown you at all over the past couple years

Also I'd like to get a lb to come and compete with Riley, I was really disappointed by him this year. I honestly thought he'd be a started by the end of the year.
