Wow.....just got done reading the crazy chain of offended individuals. First of all:

Racism has no place in football. I think we all agree here that the best players should play and the best coaches should coach and it should be about Football!

That said, when individuals choose to give racism a place in football, they are poisoning the well rather than dealing with the issue on its proper platform.

I want to use the Danny Ferry example. He made some stupid comments and the Hawks organization fired him. Why?

Because racism has no place in Basketball either. They cut out the problem and made it about basketball again.

I really think football should take a lesson here. Where there is racism, it should be dealt with immediately and with prejudice.

I am deeply saddened that many of our best athletes use their celebrity status attained through this great game to poison the well.

We are all Americans and we love this great sport or you would not be posting here.

This nation and this sport gave the opportunity to earn a better than average standard of living to so many.

It amazes me that some of these people would turn on the institutions that gave that opportunity and give racism a place in football.

It does not belong here.
