Take that Pats team last season and sub out TB and plug in Stafford. So they make the playoffs? Aaron Rodgers has made the playoffs and won games with trash defenses.
Stafford has Calvin Johnson and Suh at one point and he's still never won a playoff game. Having an elite player or two doesn't mean the team becomes elite but the QB is such an important position it alone can take a weak team and elevate them.

To be fair. Stafford played for the Lions. They haven't been mediocre since the Barry Sanders era.

In 2014 he had a top 2 defense in the NFL Calvin Johnson a first ballot hall of fame WR, Golden Tate a good WR, Reggie Bush. Lost one of his only playoff games there.

that man had 1 more hundred yard rusher than u or I for damn near 5 years. Saqaun had more hundred yard games his rookie year than Stafford had his whole career in Detroit at one point. Probably still is
No he's just the type that has to be in the right situation for it to work. He's not the type to elevate a team like that. It was time to blow it up and he needed to go. With the Rams he has a good chance to win a Superbowl. Detroit needs a generational talent at QB not just a pretty solid QB.

Their a consistent playoff team under McVay. Goff got them to superbowl and 2nd rd last year. Its super bowl or bust for them. What i saw today from Rams was not some juggernaut team. Seen Stafford put up numbers for years. Needs to win when it matters
