I was a big No Limit fan in the late 90's but ever since that Last Don album dude been putting out pure basura product and I'm not just talking about music.

All of his movies been trash or knockoffs. Even I'm Bout It had scenes he stole from Scarface but the movie was supposedly based on a True Story.

I heard I Got The Hook Up 2 was :trash:

Nah.. I sort of get what you’re saying but read the replies in the thread

The oversimplification of what Percy Miller was able to accomplish is borderline asinine...

At least list your accomplishments in your respective careers fellas?

And if some of you managed to do music or movies or create clothing lines... well, how successful were they, if at all?

Master P is the walking blueprint. Quality is subjective, and if Pres Trump can be perceived as a successful business man given his past success and failures, Percy Miller can too.

Master P is a Hip Hop God.. you’ll never see another Master P deal.

P is a legendary entrepreneur, his business acumen is off the charts & he's a marketing genius. The problem why he's been flopping in almost everything the last 15+ years is because the product he puts out is WACK AS fukk.

I mean my goodness, I know P is getting up there in age, but his team/family keeps letting him embarrass himself with this corny swagless shyt :picard: The reason why No Limit music keeps flopping & his other ventures flop is because this nikka is woefully out of touch. You'd think Romeo or his other kids would lead him down the right path, but either they're content with the money and don't care what he does, or they inherited his garbage branding skills
how sway?

his deals weren't even better than cash money breh :heh:

the real master P deal was the bar code scam he ran for years with inflated numbers and fake plaques.

if 3 albums scan under one code did they all go gold or platinum individually or in total :russ:

P was a great opportunist who knew how to exploit situations but his business acumen genius talk is :duck:

He had one successful venture. the label. if you hit one out of 10 free throwss nobody is gonna say you shoot at a high percentage.

Diddy
J. Prince
Jay

all did it better.

I didn’t say it was the best deal, I said he was the blueprint (cashmoney came after)

And you’d never see a Master P deal again.

Maybe I’m wrong, but do you think we’ll ever see a Master P deal again?

No Limit changed after KLC (BTP), C Murder/MAC incarnations, Snoop finishing his deal, and Mystikal leaving

Mr Magic, Krazy, and Soulja Slim were great niche artists but couldn’t carry the tank.

Anything after 00-01 sounds different. And 2001- the focus was Lil Romeo

the industry changed a lot since then and big distribution deals were built around physical sales. by default you can't see none of those deals for that reason.

that era is gone.

Facts.

P was the blueprint

Every label has their little run, No Limit from late 96-00 was a moment.

Master P and crunk music :dead::dead:

And of course this clearly Cash Money biting garbage :mjlol:

‘99 and on No Limit still had a handful of good rappers, but the overall sound was SOOOOOO bad :russ: the desperation levels Master P was reaching during these years were insane.

He didn’t have a Lil Wayne and he wasn’t grooming the future of the label.

All of his all stars were in their prime before they either got locked up or left and the bench was his son..

He had no real vision for any of the other No Limit acts.

Krazy, Soulja Slim, Mr.Magic were great role players in NL’s prime, but when it was time for them to carry the tank they couldn’t.

Baby & Slim had the same thing happen to them except Mannie Fresh & Lil Wayne stayed.

Had Beats by the Pound stayed and C Murder doesn’t get locked up, and Mystikal releases Let’s get ready under No Limit

We’re having different discussion

C-Murder was doing his own shyt before he first got locked up. The Tank was on the side of the road by then.

He was grooming talent for CP3 Records

He actually discovered “Da Hot Spitta”

Prime No Limit was great when everyone was in position and playing their roles. After everyone began going their separate ways p’s lack of foresight was on display

He thought he could just plug new faces in roles

Original 504 Boyz > the rebranded 504 Boyz with new members and new producers

Sort of like the original Temptations > the Temptations without David Ruffin

They had a great run

were talking about the actual product.

P's ego wont allow him to realize he's not an artist...
...he doesnt have a eye for design, or a ear for music.

Like other have said, he needs to be a typical suit and be the behind the scenes cat.

One thing ill give Trump...he knew how to pivot.

The real estate thing wasnt working...so he changed his game to licensing and focused on keeping his name out there so he could sell the Trump name to real estate companies (and other businesses).
He had no risk, and all the reward.

P is still trying to capture that mid to late 90's magic he had.

You have to read my last few posts in here, I actually break that down.

No Limit was one of the greatest labels when they had all of their prime players in the best position to succeed.

Once folks were getting locked up and leaving, P’s lack of contingencies were on display.

Anything after 00 is Romeo era. Romeo is his rebrand.
