Our number 1 black leader says nothing about the violence in his home town.
Our number 1 black leader makes numerous statements regarding Brotha Trayvon.

He is not "our" black leader he is the president of the United States. I'm sorry but it's not in his job description to look out SOLELY for black people. He has to lead United States citizens in general. The leader of the NAACP, which is an organization that looks out specifically for black people would have more responsibility than the President, imo.
That's not to say I agree nor disagree with President Obama as a leader, but it is what it is.

Ask average black folks on the streets who our number 1 black leader is. I guarantee you they will not say that it's their pastor or the NAACP.

I feel like his general point (pandering to black people is no less damaging than overt racism) was valid. The problem was that nobody was arguing that. He kept bullying and overtalking Piers and attributing to him points that he never even made.
Plus he resorted to the CAC tactics of, "Why aren't you talking about black-on-black crime? Why isn't this case that has nothing to do with Trayvon/Zimmerman being addressed? Why are you putting this ghetto black woman on TV?" and all these other tactics white people bring up to deflect away from the point of this case.
