They still have (or had) some good ass feature stories. Had a subscription when I was younger but mainly been checking the website the last few years.

Sad to see but I’m not surprised. When Lee Jenkins left then Ben golliver bounced after SI was bought I had a feeling things were gonna get shaken up.

The nba section was good and the nba cover stories are always a good read. Sucks to see them go out like this.

They have no one to blame but themselves

At one point they were THE NAME /authority when it came to sports they should’ve launched their own network before espn or at least same time

Once ESPN took off off it was the beginning of that end

You see ESPN killin it on all medians
Tv
Internet /social media
And magazines!

It’s not the internet that killed them just terrible ownership and lack of vision

Nobody wants to read stories from people that think they know everything, and can't predict next week's games correctly....

ESPN isn’t killing it tho. They’re struggling and made a lot of budget cuts and same with every sports broadcasting network.

SI should’ve went the digital subscription route sooner and invest in digital talent/podcasters sooner. They were late to the party and had to play catch up.
