first i choose not to chose any of the opinion, so i walk off and he said he was going to finish, child ok your being stubborn and walked off, it went to a cut scene wit a hologram of tali giving instructions to the next set of people to be able to beat it, and telling them about us, so i guess when i chose not to choose we died, didnt show us dieing though

then i went back and did synthesis and it was cool, now i can sell this shyt for ncaa

I chose those synthesis endng.

The ending was ok. I noticed that the mass relays didn't blow up this time. They must have realized they fukked up with that one and fixed it. I still didn't see how my choices during all 3 games changed the outcome. It still seems like the final choice you make is all that really matters

I can't help feeling that I would have enjoyed it more if they went with these endings from the get go. I'll just youtube the rest of the endings. Still disappointing, but this series as a whole was worth the ride to me :manny:

Now that I look back, I don't see how Bioware thought those original endings would fly. The fact that they defended them till the end is crazy. Unless they had some crazy plan for a future DLC that would make sense of everything. Maybe the backlash forced them to change how they approached the finale to this trilogy. Don't think i'll ever know how I truly feel about how everything turned out in the end.

ah well, back to Skyrim :smugdraper:

I never bought the whole indoctrination theory and knew the synthesis ending would be the best choice. Even in real life, scientist are arriving at an understanding of the importance of Human synthesis with machines for long term human survival as a species(nano machines in your blood stream programmed to attack viruses for example).

That's all fine and well for real life but the series spent the last 2 games telling you working with, or even parlaying with, the Reapers, is suicide. And now Synthesis is painted as a good decision? :what:

It's as if they hired a writer with zero knowledge of the series to do the last 5 minutes of the game.

True but I always thought it weird that the Reapers goal was to wipe out all organic life and yet here was Shepherd, assaryans, volus' etc still in existence. There was something more to it - If the reapers really wanted to eliminate all organic life, they would have. After speaking with the ghost kid it all made sense imo.

Just from a pure logical level, synthesis made the most sense in the long-run as the universe is finite - and hence all organic life with it. The kid might have been lying and trying to "indoctrinate" Shepherd but if the only way to guarantee continued human existence for eternity is synthesis, I was willing to take the risk. Synthesis to me is also the last logical step in human evolution(ie nano machines).

That wasn't really weird though. Sovereign explained in the first game they only harvest civilizations that are advanced, IE space travel, etc....and all this other extra shyt wasn't planned until late in the 3rd game. So they had 2+ games to come up with a better reason why the Reapers exist.

That's why Synthesis doesn't fit. If they had it planned since the first game, they could've dropped clues....but it wasn't planned, that's why the first two games you fight people (Saren and The Illusive Man) that want to "control" or "join" (synthesis) the Reapers. If we're going by what makes sense in the context of the series, Destroy should be the only "correct" choice.

Yup.

They've fukked up Dragon Age 2, and now Mass Effect 3.

I'll think twice before I buy another product from Bioware/EA.
they destroyed Star Wars: The Old Republic completely too, dont forget about that.

That company is dead as fukk. No ones buying any of their franchises again. :laff:

I literally just seen a side by side comparison of orginal ending and DLC ending on kotaku.

They added like 3 minutes to the whole thing and it was just some fakkit talking about what could be accomplished now that the war is over :laff:
