"Double Up" was a watered down "Harlem World" and why Ma$e fell off. Had "Double Up" been the album Ma$e promised it could have done better than "Harlem World". Ma$e promised that the album would be more street than commerical and that he was going to go back to Murda Ma$e. Of course Puffy didn't allow that. Overall there were a few cuts on there that liked but I remember being disappointed in all 3 Bad Boy albums in 99 that year. Big's cut and paste "Born Again". Diddy's "Forever" and Ma$e "Double Up".

I remember going to cop this album couldn't wait til I got home to throw it in the CD player (old school lol)

Man I was expecting "Harlem World" this was "Third World" lol...man that album was no where near a classic. Had a couple hot tracks, but I just feel that by that time, he was already going the Christian route so the album wasn't as good as it probably SHOULD have been. Mix that with poor promotion and there you have it. Funny thing is, I tried to listen to this album through the years to make sure I didn't sleep on it and I have to FORCE myself to get through it. I honestly thought I was one of the only people that bought it.

None of my usual music head nikkas bought this trash. Hell, them cats didn't even wanna copy it after I bought it. Get Ready didnt do it for them as a single like it did for me lol
