Last night they interviewed quite a few mature people who were trying to be bring about some semblance of civility. And I felt for those brothers. The hurt and disappointment was very evident in their overall demeanor and tone. This generation coming up is much like the overall state of music they're creating at the same time. Just trash and disappointing. The irony was people in the community, Black people, were asking for the police to restore order. The irony of that request. Wow. No one's condoning or glorifying fukking rioting. Riots are almost universally done by 16-24 year old males who feel like they just got a free pass to break a bunch of shyt, regardless of race or the reason behind it.

I said that riots can be effective. Was there a 33 page thread on this when it was just a polite protest? Hell no. Did we wait 14 fukking days to hear what happened with no response whatsoever? Yes.

There's going to be a response now. Just like there was a response in Ferguson. A major US city can't burn without some sort of response. Even if that's just a federal investigation and confirmation that there was systemic racism within the police department. Just that acknowledgement is a step in the right direction.

And would that have happened without a riot? I don't think so. fukk the rioters, that shyt is completely barbaric, but it gave the message leverage, whether that's right or wrong.
