We are rooting for Marvin Gaye's musical Legacy. All Pharrell and Robin had to do was give Marvin his credit but instead they tried to be sneaky and sue Marvin's estate even though it was HIS music they were jacking. His son is his heir so he will get the dough but this more about Marvin than his son. I have nothing but Love and Respect for Pharrel. But I don't agree with how he handled this situation. Pharrell samples like any Legendary Hip Hop Producer does.

No. He lost some publishing and now Queen and David Bowie's are credited writers on "Ice, Ice, Baby". Peter Gunz and Lord Tariq also lost full publishing on "Deja Vu, Uptown Baby" for jacking the steely dan sample. Another big case was the rock group "The Verve" Classic song "Bittersweet Symphony" which was a Rolling Stone jack that they lost the case and all publishing on the song.
