I mean in the falcoln comic book when he was taking over for cap it had racial undertones how folks treated falcon. So IMO this just a play on this.

MCU can't win cause if they don't address issues folks bytch and when they do address issues folks bytch saying the pander.

I think as the show goes on this kinda stuff and blackness is gonna be part of why Sam gave the shield up. I thought he was gonna get in some racial shyt when he told Bucky “you and Steve may never understand this but I thought I was doing the right thing”

A Villa Straylight.
Definitely Eli and after rayshuan. Eli saved caps ass and got near killed
I was always more partial to Eli since he's very much the leader of the YA. But Rayshaun is a great partner for Sam. Eli had a very dikk Grayson/Jason Todd feel. Rayshaun felt like Tim Drake, trying to encourage Sam.

This was a good episode.

Liked the intro of Isaiah and Eli Bradley. Didn't realize that Carl Lumbly (Alias and the voice of J'onn J'onnz on the Justice League cartoon) was going to be in this so that was a pleasant surprise.

I also dig the 1980s style buddy cop vibe they have for Sam and Bucky.

Pour one out for the homie Redwing. :salute:

The only issue I had with this ep was them making John Walker a decent guy instead of the massive a$$hole he is in the comics. By making him so nice it made Sam and Bucky come off like dikkheads for how they treated him.
I get that they love Steve and don't think some stranger should be using his name and shield but they are also both soldiers who know that the grunt has no say in what mission he is sent on and Walker is just a soldier on a mission.

Now if they had introduced Walker as the kind of a douchebag he was in his first appearance in the comics then Sam and Bucky reacting to him the way they did would be easier to accept:

And why'd they cast a midget to be Battlestar?

I think his inner sociopath is starting to bleed through.

I hear you but if it's done well they can win. I mean for example, he could straight up say I don't feel like America is ready a Cap Black. To me, it's the execution not just the content.
