Any of yall read the Falcon and Winter Soldier comic book. Doesn't Walker also remind you of the Natural? Modeling his life after Cap?
Now that you mention it...:ohhh:

The only thing is, the Natural was a teen and a Cap super-stan. Walker in this series doesn't seem to stan Cap as hard as the natural does. But I can see some parallels between them.

if Sam is broke I dunno why he gave Cap's shield to a museum. It's made of the rarest material on Earth.
Could you imagine the backlash if the first black Captain America melted down his shield for cash? :dead:

Some of the racial stuff they're implying just doesn't feel genuine to me... Just the execution comes off as pandering.
I think there were pacing issues that made the race stuff not play perfectly. Like RIGHT AFTER the old, (deservedly) self righteous black man gives his speech THEN the cops come with the "Is he bothering you?" shyt to Falcon? That needs to be spread out or done a less cliche way.

In fact, the whole Isaiah Bradley stuff needed to be a lot more "show don't tell". I would've loved some flashbacks: Him and the Winter Soldier fighting, him seeing the re-appearance of Captain America, him hearing about the Winter Soldier killing the King of Wakanda, Bucky having Isaiah on his list and trying to reconnect but failing, and finally Bucky misguidedly bringing "his black friend" (Falcon) to Isaiah's door step.

I can imagine the scene hitting way harder after that and Isaiah thinking "Is this your peace offering? Steve's black side kick?"

I think they are borrowing a bit from the 1950s Captain America who was a Steve Rogers super fan who had mental issues.

very good show, but seeing these guys going about their everyday lives in detail feels weird as fukk so far. Wandavision was so bizarre, it didn't have that feeling. this is so grounded, just feels like a typical HBO type show, but with characters you only know from a bunch of spaced out scenes across movies. I'm not complaining at all, and i'm not articulating it well, but seeing Sam and Bucky just kinda wandering a street in Baltimore is surreal for some reason. Marvel is the GOAT
