How was Sam as Captain America? I never read that arc
I would imagine billions of people who vanished for 5 years all came back and had to go through other people living in their homes, running their businesses, and the distribution of wealth transferred accordingly.
Dealing with the social and economic impact of what happened, actually is quite unique.
btw Disney is killing it with these shows
look how great wanda vision and the first episode of this was compared to the punisher/daredevil / iron fist/ luke cage etc.
one feels like watching a long big budget movie while the other feels like a cw finale budget
what do you think the producers are going to do? or might do?
Unless they make Torres do a heel turn (he seems sketchy), Sam has to take it eventually.
Being that there has been and will be backlash and black characters taking the mantle from white ones, it would be dope to see him have that debate on screen and turn it down.
You should. Might be my favorite modern story arc.How was Sam as Captain America? I never read that arc

okayMCU's New Captain America Actor Teases Differences To Steve Rogers
"I don't think there's really been many MCU characters who've had quite the dilemma he's had in terms of trying to fit into this sort of moralistic superhero world. He's been thrust into this role as Captain America and he's going to do it his way, and he wants to do it right. But his way is a very specific way that he has learned through being basically a trained human hunter. I mean, that's what Marines are. They're not Steve Rogers, they're not the same. They're not like Boy Scouts anymore. They're a little bit more gnarly."
It's funny how some people who would otherwise critique the MCU for being vapid now hate real world problems being reflected in the material.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier writer Malcolm Spellman revealed that the bank scene in the show's debut episode was a hit from its early start within the writers' room.
Spellman shared how the scene featuring Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and Sarah Wilson (Adepero Oduye) applying for a bank loan to save their family's boat ended in a place that questioned "the entire Marvel structure" to Variety. "Every single person I’m sitting with went crazy over that scene," he said. "It satisfied something very deep for people," he added.
"What’s a trip is when we got to that moment, and that question came about naturally," he continued. "That was a really, really fun moment, where what was supposed to be a scene that mostly dealt with the issues of, you know, a Black family from a certain background dealing with a bank loan, and the fact that him being a celebrity does not transcend him being Black, turned into way more fun of, 'Wait, how do superheroes make their money?'"
The series writer added, "I can’t tell you the volumes of documents that came out in building what is this much dialogue [holds fingers inches apart] in the episode."
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier's debut episode revealed that any work of the Avengers was repaid by "goodwill," not an actual paycheck. Between this fact, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Blip that erased Sam Wilson from existence for five years, he's left with little income at the start of the character's debut television series.
Meanwhile, Sam/Falcon is living at home in New Orleans with his sister Sarah Wilson, attempting to salvage their family's business and the boat that the pair grew up on pre-Avengers days. While the episode begins with Sam's decision to hang up the mantle of a superhero -- while picking up the occasional government contract as Falcon to gain some income -- to support his family, the episode's end suggests that US Agent's picking up Captain America's shield might change Sam's view on putting his superhero days behind him.
So Stark wasn't cutting anybody a check
This and before Sam how many avengers needed income like that? After Civil War, Sam wasn't fukking with Stark. He was a fugitive
