can't have the avengers without cap as a key member. Marvel is fukking up if that's the case.

I think that with Tony, Cap and Widow out, that was supposed to be BP.

They have some new potential leaders coming up on the rails (Etermals, BP II).

They could bring someone back .. or they might pivot to a Young Avengers first which will give another 2 - 3 years to get an adult Avengers leader.

MCU made this problem themselves by not picking leading men in the roles of Falcon, War Machine or others ...

Prediction:

Chris will come back as old man Steve and Supreme leader, never Captain America (save for flashbacks). Cap 4 probably won't be named Civil War 2, but it might as well be except it'll be mutant registration on top of the accords.

If Ant-Man was Pym (instead of Lang) and he helped with Tech, created Ultron etc they would have shared the narrative load, and the narrative shine.

If the Avengers had to come together now I think Rhodey would be the best leader.

Nah they did the right thing by not picking leading men for supporting and even main characters sometimes. If they cast an A lister, then they run into the same problem that DC has with Batfleck. An a lister is never gonna want to commit 15 yrs of his life to playing a role like that. But if you get somebody who's down and out like RDJ, then they got nothing to lose and they'll sign a 25 movie contract cause they need the money

what about "he can't act" are people not getting. the man can barely make his lines sound convincing. he telegraphs that he knows the outcome of a sequence, at the start. he is constantly trying to act, and seldom comes over as being someone genuinely in the emotional state that he is trying to portray. he has about two facial expressions.

then he is too short, is not showing hero levels of dedication (weight), does not have a hero jaw ... there are too many things going against him.
