That's because Feige and his people actually study the comics. The take elements that good and switch up the meh parts bringing them to live action.

Other studios (not just DC), don't really care about the comics. They figure the casual view don't read them and wont care. But the should because it will only enhance the script and overall direction.

That was more a business decision based on the ever growing payscale of the actors as they grew in popularity.

With the multiverse, they can be brought back. The story seems more grounded than the CBU.

They’re (iron man and cap) also gone because they’re not trying to recreate every little thing from the comics. They’re telling finite stories; the comics don’t have to be finite because they’re comics. Movies do because actors age, paychecks -/ talked about, and you don’t have the ability to stretch something out for that period of time.

Expecting all this shyt to mirror the comics with pinpoint accuracy is silly because real people don’t function like illustrations.

anyway, my fav episode of the show so far. So fukking dope and it put all its themes on the table and handled them really well.

shyt is disney lion king level of we gotta kill somebody dumb.
Marvel is marvel because of the idea.
we know their social lives and go to the mall and see them out in a favorite fanboy tshirt.
Nobody likes marvel missing the core avengers.
Thinking you are going to use spreadsheets.
the way they have for the mcu. Will result in the same thing that happened to comics. Marvel with the mcu has to figure out how to make the stories better. Right now they are flirting too much with why marvel is owned by Disney.

I can understand that view. He definitely feels like this is the first good thing he’s done in his life and there’s something to that. Acknowledging the bullshyt he and other soldiers did in the name of “freedom” and wanting to atone for that is admirable.

BUT, he’s clearly not wired right or at least let’s that shield and that power to go his head

The job of Captain America is pretty much to get treated like shyt.

In 'The First Avenger' troops looked at Steve liike a fukking clown when he went to Europe at first. All the soldiers in the crowd at the USO show watched him punch fake Hitler like

He was wanted and on the run for years after Civil War, because he wasn't fukking with the Sokovia Accords.

If John Walker put on the uniform thinking that his life was about to be a non stop parade of - he fukked up from the beginning. He took the super soldier serum that he found on the floor in a warehouse, because he couldn't take the weight.

The point the show is trying to make is that - you can put on the uniform and the shield, and even get juiced up but that shyt doesn't make you Cap. They made this point in the first movie, with everything from the arrogant cadets to The Red Skull.

Right now - Sam is a much better Captain America without any of the trappings of the role.
Walker deserves everything he has coming to him
