What was the whole puddle gate controversy exactly?
It was so many political Easter eggs in the Miles Morales version it's crazy. They said that Spider-Man 2 is gonna be darker than the first two games, but how dark y'all think it will be? The first game was pretty dark, because of these three events happening in that game:
1. The bombing at the City Hall that killed many people, including Officer Jefferson Davis.
2. The shooting at a Halloween party on the campus that killed a few people.
3. The prison breakout and the release of Devils Breath, which resulted in many people dying including Aunt May.
And the spin off had a few dark moments like:
1.The OG Spider-Man almost dying by the hands of the Rhino.
2. Roxxon guards pointing their weapons at an unarmed black teen, reminding us of police brutality.
3. Roxxon guards kidnapping and brutally beating up an unarmed black teen, again reminding us of police brutality.
4. Miles suffers a beatdown from his friend.
And arguably, the only deaths in this game was Rick and Phin Mason.
So how dark Spider-Man 2 will be?
Not to mention, the actual police is more hostile towards Miles than Peter. It was so many political Easter eggs in the Miles Morales version it's crazy.
After an early mission, in free roam, it's a lil cop arrest scene going on around the corner from Miles apartment. If you actually get close enough and look at it, it's a white cop with his gun drawn pointing at 2 females, one Black one Chinese, and they ain't doing shyt. I think it's a white dude getting arrested, but he is behind the white cop who was pointing the gun at the 2 women. Behind the cop, it's 3 officers, one looks like a Sargent, abd he is sitting there watching the cop point his gun at the females with his arms crossed on some "good job" type shyt.
Might just be some random shyt they ain't pay attention to, but it definitely seems like an Easter egg imo.
It's sad that the game is doing what should be done in the comics with Peter. One thing i give Insomniac credit for is they definitely raised the stakes from typical spider-man stories. Multiple people die in these games, and the ending of the first game was the first time i ever saw that character die on screen.
Will be interesting to see how this one goes, i think Harry is a good candidate for getting got. I think they are going to definitely do something interesting with the Harry, Norman, and Pete relationship.
Rio Morales is telling Peter to help Miles because he got captured by Kraven (scene in the trailer where he's surrounded by Kraven's goons). Miles broke into Kraven's Mansion, but it was a trap. Miles fights a bunch of Hunters, gets beat up in the process, and the fight goes on outside the manor where he's pretty much fighting for his life (1:25 mark in the trailer)
Which part?I thought that was MJ talking to Miles
