I get that the point of this announcement is getting good press and have a narrative once ROS premieres. No matter what happens to that movie they are gonna say "...but Feige is working on fixing Star Wars".

But fukking hell man, did Dave Filoni sent dikk picks to Kathleen Kennedy or something? Dude should've gotten the Feige role once Lucas was out of the picture. Then he should've gotten it once TLJ made a good number of the fanbase hate the franchise. And he should've gotten a nod here. At least leak that Feige is working with Filoni or something :damn:

ps: I think they wouldn't have done this if Benioff and Weiss didn't shyt the bed with Game Of Thrones. If that show would've ended on a high note we would've seen them in a bunch of articles talking about their new series of movies and be presented as the "saviors" of the franchise.

But Season 8 of GOT happened and Disney has had those two locked in a cage :russ:

GOTG were C list.

But to say Iron Man and Cap were C-List Marvel characters is :beli:
Yeah people throw out that c list card to easily. Guardians were most certainly c list marvel characters. But the Avengers was the most popular group outside of the X-men and Fantastic Four. Hulk was more popular than spiderman back in the 80s. The avengers were never c list. They were a llist, just not as big as the X-men or Spiderman in the 90s and early 00s.

I have to disagree. They were a-list as far as still being core characters in the Marvel Universe and character recognition. Marvel made it very clear how they felt about the Avengers characters though. The 90's had some hot garbage in general, but having Tony being a sleeper agent for Kang, and then getting his teenage self to replace the adult version, was all types of horrible. Being c-list is how we get New Avengers, Extremis and the Winter Soldier.

1) Make a new Star Wars trilogy and give Kevin Feige complete control.
2) Fire Kathleen Kennedy.
3) Have Feige name a successor to handle MCU (honestly I think after Endgame everything will be downhill from there. Probably best to abandon ship now)

Filoini is just now getting his shot at live-action with the Mandalorian and I'm glad for him. Hopefully this leads to more stuff he's George's protegee for crying out loud and he's made some of the best Star Wars out there (Clone Wars and Rebels).

If A) X-Men and B) F4 are ahead of the Avengers doesn't that make them C by default?

No
By your logic Spiderman is also C list since Superman and Batman are more popular and have been since the 1970s.
the order of popularity doesn't affect their listing. All three are A list. One is just more popular than the others.

They are household names one and all, people had incredible hulk lunchboxes and ironman action figures back in the 80s. Thor is literally from norse mythology and has been a known character for a 1000 years. How would he be ever be c list?

Spiderman has sold more merch than both Supes and Bats. It's at least a toss up who is more popular between those 3 it depends on the metric used.
The 80s is my childhood and I don't remember Marvel action figures being popular at all. It was Star Wars, GI Joe and Transformers running that game. And everyone is not into Norse mythology like that.
Hulk, Spiderman and later in the 90s Wolverine are Marvel's A list. This whole list thing really is subjective and not worth arguing about, there is no right answer. It depends who you ask.

Stop it.

Nobody was checking for either one of them until Marvel Studios made those movies.

They’re known characters, but they were definitely c-list. There’s a reason Sony/Fox/Universal didn’t buy the rights to those characters.
To the gen pop yes but not to the comic base. By comparison the GoA were d-list to the base and im being generous. The only ppl that checked for GoA were nerds who got beat up by nerds.

i definetely wouldnt go that far. the only thing that batman does better is sell comics. spider man does better everywhere else
