Off one viewing I can't say whether it's better than the 1st, but I will say that I thoroughly enjoyed it. Going into it was pretty different from when I saw the 1st, as I had no expectations going in since I knew next to nothing about the guardians.
Not gonna lie, I was pretty bummed at Yondu dying, thought for sure they were gonna come up with some type of ex-machina to save him. Thought him and Rocket could've made for a pretty great duo in the future. Yondu telling Rocket about himself was 
The interactions between Drax & Mantis were pretty hilarious too.

Question though, if Quill was born with the celestial gene why did he lose it once Ego died? If he was born with the ability shouldn't he be able to control it on his own? I think him having that ability could've been pretty valuable when it's time to battle Thanos

I was really enjoying it until the Ego's planet stuff. I felt it hit a wall and got cliche there and didn't like that empire strikes back move of splitting up the crew because their banter is so hilarious. But it brought me back around with that surprisingly touching ending.
Still give it a 7 though :ariana2:
