It's risky because while most of y'all are comic buffs, the majority of folks who just enjoy marvel films don't know BP, that paired with places like Asia not caring for black movies could easily make it a financial disappointment.

This might be one of the few films where the domestic gross is EXTREMELY important to offset any foreign losses. I don't feel as if there is a huge financial risk (I.e. It does Fantastic Four numbers) because it's Marvel, and Fiege has already said that the BP solo is directly going to set up Infinity War. So EVERYONE whose been invested in these films for the past 9 films will have a vested interest in seeing this movie. That coupled with the sizeable fanbase of MJB, the growing respectability of Coogler, and the excitement of names like Lupita being involved, and domestic grosses should be sizeable.

All Marvel has to do is give us something as critically acclaimed as Winter Soldier/Civil War and I feel like the film will do well. One thing we absolutely NEED is the support of the African American community. We have GOT to show out for this movie man. I'm gonna see it at least 6 times in theaters, we need to truly be on some We Are The World shyt to make sure we enforce that we want to see us portrayed as heroic and intelligent

black community and the oscar/film buff community as well. Lupita and MBJ both have that star power and if this is the level of stardom Feige is looking for, we might get a couple more noteables. This movie has the potential to touch base on not just comics but the display the prosperity and longevity of africa as whole, not just a fictional Wakanda, since there's the notion that africa is a poor continent with no wealth whereas countries like Nigeria prove otherwise.

side note: having a 90% african cast is a no-brainer but this is also Feige's response to the issue of directors whit washing ethnic characters in movies and him being criticised for changing Doctor Strange's Ancient One

Sebastian Stan's got like a 9 picture contract so I'm assuming Bucky's gonna be in this at least somewhat.
I think its possible because in the civil war movie
Feige also weighed in on one of the movie's post-credits sequences, where Bucky underwent cryogenesis in Wakanda so that T'Challa's top scientists could figure out how to de-program his brain. Asked about the possibility of Bucky appearing in "Black Panther," Kevin Feige carefully said, "It... remains to be seen. He's certainly in stasis there. Where and when he comes out? I'm not sure..."

This is why we need some veteran black actors being the Co stars either, Definitely Nick Fury - Sam Jackson, Forest Whitaker, Wesley Snipes, Denzel, Oprah, Bassett. Etc. veteran black actors around the globe like the South African brother that played King T'Chaka in Civil War. Even the Wakanda security chief is a German actress. The more demographic we can hit, the better. Basically, this movie has to be stacked up like an all star team.
