i don't know what you mean by this, but xmen characters are owned by fox studio. you wont see storm in the black panther movie.

The only reason I would argue for Star Wars is because George Lucas had absolute faith in himself and his vision to the point where even when Fox didn't give a shyt about the movie and thought it would fail Lucas retained all merchandising rights. That's a feat that I don't think will EVER be duplicated. Just imagine the BILLIONS Lucas made off of merchandising ALONE for the Star Wars saga
