I just want to say everyone wanting Wesley to play blade again need to remember that Marharshala is the one that wanted this project in the first place
he wanted to be blade you gotta ask him
I still think he'll get a cameo of some sort

Yea i think that’s the underlying issue some are overlooking:

Marvel doesn’t care about the Blade IP.

They’ve been kindly telling Wesley “sure, we’ll get back to you ()” for a decade.

It’s only bc Ali came up to them and they thinking they had another Chadwick Boseman (black actor winning prestige acting award, now in the MCU) that there’s a movie.

I bet they’d rather him play a race bent reed Richards or Cyclops

Like I said before, they never had any real intention with the movie. It was a placeholder announcement. But Marvel comics have been pushing Blade hard for the past 2-3yrs, so even they believed it. At this point, they might as well go ahead with that Midnight Sons movie they already have in the pipeline. Use the Blade movie script as the blueprint, throw in the scrapped Ghost Rider plans, Moon Knight, Black Knight, Helstrom, with Werewolf by Night & Elsa Bloodstone cameos...and just go from there.
