Why would he ever be an A-List character? He's a niche character from get-go. They've also tried pushing him in the comics - putting him on hella teams...just as many as Wolverine, and he's been an Avenger for like 3 years now.

At the time of the movie, Wesley looked enough like Blade - square-face, high-top fade, sword-wielding. Hell, you could say that his 90s redesigned was to mimic Wesley who was near the top of the game charismatic kick-a$$ action star wise. The only thing the movie really added to the 616 version was the hair designs and/or head tats

There's a handful of black actors under 40 who could handle Blade

- Boyega who doesn't want it
- Damson Idra. No idea on martial arts and likely needs MASSIVE training and bulking up.
- Hodge. Who's playing Hawkman.
- Jordan. Would be best choice due to action scenes and Creed but did Kilmonger
- Rhodes. Gee I don't know why. He's built (pause) halfway decent of an actor and somewhat known, does good fights in his flicks/shows and is under 40.
- Wesley ain't coming back and MJW is like 54.

You got slim pickings here.

This ain't that deep. Why is it becoming a back and forth on this? Blade literally needs a black actor who's 5'8- 6'1 who 95% of his role is action, presence and martial arts prowess. More importantly if you wanna have 5-10 years of him needs to be 31- 37 max RIGHT now. Dude is pushing 50 with a movie slated for 2 years from now that's been treated like trash since its announcing.

horror films are the cheapest to make and the most profitable

joker (rated R) almost made a billion

this shouldnt be hard :scust:

vampire cult kidnap black kids in a rundown city ..they think nobody will notice

jeffery epstein rich guy that working for the vampire that says he saving the city with gentrification

Epstein the conttect for the cult - the cult need the new vampires cause they want to resurrect Dracula

cops think blade the one taking the kids ( blade trying not kill the cops in the station)

blade rampages through them

two end credits ( vampire succeed in bring back darcula for the sequel)

Elsa Bloodstone and moonknight (moonknight hating Dracula a thing in the comics) are aware of dracula and want to hunt him down

Scrap it and make it a TV series at this point. That there were no other major casting announcements a month before filming says this film has been on the back burner for Disney for quite sometime. Cox and Majors were confirmed long before their appareances (or strongly hinted to) and there was buzz, rumors and Disney clearly gave a fukk. Blade has been totally neglected. By the time this drops no one will give a shyt- they'll be waiting on X-men, FF, Galactus, Silver Surfer etc. The perfect time was BEFORE those were gonna dominate the screen. Not sandwiched between.

How a script needs to be done from scratch with a movie that's been greenlit since 2019 is a total joke.

Ali will be damn near 50 when this joint drops.
Make it a Werewolf by Night Special. Just something fun, interesting, SHORT and then get the hype up.

All they need is it to be R rated. Not on some "it needs to be bloody" shyt.. But Marvel only good for one R related series and that's Deadpool. I'm sure Daredevil will be watered down and it's on TV...

If they can market Blade as the grown up comic and add in legit horror elements, it'll be different than any other movie. It'll be it's own genre in the MCU with supernatural beings that are still on a street level.. Bring in Morpheus eventually so you get other great actors.. Kit Harrington character and shyt. And make it a "don't even think about bringing the kids" type of movie and hype it like that...

Them handcuffing themselves to another campy MCU flick is why dudes gotta write two actions scenes and shyt

Never seen Lovecraft- is this director a good choice?

Only up from here right? :francis:

I gotta thank Ali here. He told the previous director he wasn't having it.
