Marvel movies are mediocre

Also I see a bunch of posters bringing up Black Panther's best picture nod in this thread and other threads. When did some of you start caring about the Oscars?

They have cookie cutter storytelling and don’t take any chances with fukking around with these predictable storylines. They don’t kill off anyone (everyone is coming back from infinity war in one way or another.) I don’t mind the constant humor too much but it doesn’t have to be in every single movie. Change the tones up a bit.
Most of them don’t even feel like stand alone movies anymore, they’re just a tv series in movie form now. These overrated post credit scenes are essentially “next week on”.

Ok... like most ppl are saying alot of these films are 1 and done.... if u are not big on superheroe characters... most ppl just like superheroes so how good the movie is doesn't even matter....
I fux with Blade because the movie feels like it was made for adults...
These movies, even tho they have alot of death and violence, and some adult type humor... they dont seem to be made for grown ppl...kinda simplistic
And some of these shyts be long as fukk...
I'll say this tho... there are just certain types of movies u should go to the movie theater to see, and these superheroes films are the ones.
On a side note.... always wanted to see a "Last Dragon" re-make lol

GoTG1 was ok, same with homecoming. Everything else you can keep but I "love" those movies for these characters I didn't care about when I first discovered them in the comics.

I know this is one of those threads where people will argue their opinions but I can't be bothered to do that.

Easy top 3. Civil War to me was solid but the fact you knew no one REALLY was gonna smoke each other took it down a notch for me.

Funny thing is the reason those three are in most people's top three Marvel joints is the fact the antagonists were GREAT.

Great villains make great comic book movies. That's why we need DOOM !!!!!!

The first two Captain America movies are the only ones I gave a second or more viewing and not be semi bored. I usually feel I get everything from my first viewing.

There can't be any stakes bc all the heroes are mega celebs , I burned out on these shyts a while back but they are usually a decent watch all in all

People are sheep....the consensus was Gotg was a sleeper hit so everyone loves it...the soundtrack was dope but I got Pandora so

Before IW dropped they kept saying how the movie is about Thanos and sure enough, the movie releases and all the critics basically regurgitate the press release....

Disney got these reviewers shook....to the point no well known reviewer openly shyt on the last jedi.. and if ever a movie needed shytting on...

This was made obvious during phase 2.

"Connected universe" sounded a lot better than what we're getting.

Take out the infinity gauntlet/gem/Thanos tie-ins and ask yourself how much you'd really give a damn about most of these flicks.

And now X-Men are about to be subject to this shyt. ... which I guess is a step up from the recent garbage Fox put out, but if you think Disney/Marvel releasing a film of "Logan" quality.

The one huge omission is of course the Silver Surfer..there should be no huge Thanos epic without the Silver Surfer..its criminal.

They’re mostly fun popcorn movies but I get the criticisms. Personally I’ve always been of that crowd that says that their villains are weak as fukk mostly and that to me was what hurt a lot of these movies. It made Thanos seem that much more of a Force by comparison, but still. I found it particularly egregious in the Iron Man series, where all the main villains ended up being cacs in suits as opposed to like the Mandarin
