Ok....I'm trying to stay out this one but I'll just say this...the Tibeten thing was mad racist when Doc Strange was first made. I have no problem with a woman taking the role but it's no secret that over there China and Japan are pretty whitewashed. No reason they couldn't get an unknown asian actress whether Chinese, Japanese, Taiwanese, or anything else besides Government interference. Marvel is a powerhouse that has made stars it saved RDJs career and revitalized it, it made Chris Evans, Hemsworth, and Scarlett Johansson household names though she was known already. It helped her get Lucy to do well at the box office and made this fat guy on Parks and Recreation named Chris Pratt into an action star. Politics is the only thing stopping them from stopping boundaries and miss me with that bullshyt about stereotyping like they couldn't just alter it a bit. Just plugged in another white person for a role is all they did. Baron Mordo being black isn't a big deal because the average person doesn't know who the hell the character is anyway and he'll ultimately be a bad guy so I'm not expecting much development until proven otherwise. His race has nothing to do with the character like Rhodey doesn't as he's known as being in air force and not much development. Of course I've seen crackers with that dumbshyt " well what if they made Black Panther into a white guy" Crackers please that wouldn't happen because his culture and race directly had to do with him being a black man . Money is root of all of this and end of the day Marvel caved to that instead of changing the game for the better and instead playing it safe by just bringing in another white person. It is what it is though

The thing is they have never stuck fully to the source material. They made Nick Fury black. They made rhoddy blacker in IM2. They made a female a significant Avenger. They have a female lead in GOTG.

Marvel has basically covered the white male, white female and African American demo.

And lets not forget the main point. Marvel said the Ancient One in this movie ISN'T the same one from the comics.

Furthermore thinking the only people that live in Asian countries are all "Asian" is a stereotype. And the movie is called Dr. Strange not Dr. ancient one
