The Marvel Cinematic Universe may have been running for over ten years, yet still there remains an increasing dearth of open LGBT characters.

Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios, has promised to change that. Speaking to The Playlist, Feige confirmed that at least two LGBT characters are coming, one of whom will be brand new, the other someone we have seen before.

While the filmmaker remained coy regarding the character we have already seen, Tessa Thompson has previously confirmed that her character Valkyrie was bisexual, something Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi previously confirmed was event ually cut from the movie. However, considering the events ofAvengers: Infinity War, her fate remains unknown.

As to when a new LGBT hero could make an appearance in an upcoming Marvel movie, there are multiple options. Ant Man and the Wasp has already been confirmed not to have an LGBT character, but Captain Marvel, Avengers 4, the newly titled Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 remain options.

You don't see the difference in just having characters appear organically rather than announcing it to the world like they're trying to grab points? It be like announcing a hulk movie and then going" it's gonna have an all minority cast!" It comes off as disingenuous
Didn’t everyone here complain about there not being enough black representation in super hero movies? Then they announced black panther with an all black cast. It’s the way it is now. Everyone’s gonna get represented. People can complain every time someone makes a comment about it, or just get over it and enjoy the movie if it’s good.

I don't think they announced bp would have an all black cast, just that because it's bp it would be an all black cast being in wakanda and what not. It still doesn't change what this is though. And getting mad and saying go see the movie doesn't change it either. Marvel knows what they're doing . They've been doing it in comics for years.
