as a rule i don't really mess around w/married chicks, but i have had two that i just couldn't pass up on

one was married to a railroad engineer, cat was always gone.

When I say people are fukked, what I mean is our generations ideas on monogamy and sex is changing. It's okay and almost expected to have many sex partners no matter the cost because sex is seen as a right, an entitlement for having a penis or vagina and a sex drive. While I like the thought process behind it, it is leading people to feel it's okay to cheat if their partner isn't giving them what they need. In my opinion, people are looking at relationships in a more selfish way (and I'm using the term selfish as broad and as neutral as possible. A better term may be self-serving or self-interested). If it's not everything they want, they will leave. It's becoming so much the norm that we don't even think about it.

When I say people in the Bible Belt are...less fukked...what I mean is people in this area tend to live in small social circles that are regulated by conservative principles. This principles are: no sex before marriage, marry young, have children in your 20s, never divorce, no cheating/adultery, no sinful behavior etc. Their systems highly regulate what they believe and what they do. I have always thought if you want a good wife who is less likely to cheat, go to a church in the Bible Belt. Marriage is EVERYTHING in this culture. However they are fukked too because they cheat as often as anyone else.

Even if I was about that relationship life, why do we need some documents and some grand ceremony to show that we're supposedly in love with each other. spot on, with the bolded. i don't really know about the bible belt, but this is certainly an attitude i see afflicting most westerners i encounter. i was born and raised in a highly conservative, African culture, so a lot of what americans consider to be normal sexual behavior isn't very normal to me.

the problem with a lot of ppl is that they have nothing to compare to so they never really get to question their actions, attitudes towards sex, men, women, etc ...

& don't get me wrong. i'm all for people standing up for their rights as individuals and doing whatever they want. however, i feel like the western brand of individualism is breeding a really pernicious sort of self-serving attitude in regards to socializing and relationships that really makes it difficult to connect w/ people.

i've discussed this topic with various living in other cultures & they all pretty much agreed that ppl here are fukked when it comes to social interaction.
