I'm always peeping game, an older friend (who is married and has gwap) put me onto a little bit of game and told me that if I were to ever to get married then I should have my own bank account, my wife should have her own and then perhaps we should share a savings account. I've seen certain married couples that share accounts, to say the least: it sucks. Spoke to a girl about it and she said that it's stupid of me to think like that.

what do y'all think? Do you share banks accounts? Have any stories of nikkas being miserable because him and his wife share accounts?

Seperate accounts to begin with... see how it goes from there as the relationship evolves...just remember love blossoms but so do post marital bills :youngsabo:

I understand why anyone would want to maintain individual accounts but I think a joint account is the best way to go. Individual accounts lead to financial fukkery and secrets, especially if one partner is bad with money. A joint account forces you to work together with finances. It also allows the person who sucks with money to see how their bad habits are impacting the marriage.

Can't you do all of that with separate accounts though? If they want to spend money, shouldn't they spend their own? After paying bills of course.

Damn, I hate that I don't think this way. I've never imagined that someone would do that and I typically think of and try to prepare for the worse. People are fukking scum.

You don't have to, but you can't read minds so having a separate account would be the only way of preparing for the worst. Preventive action right.
