She granted me the divorce. I was soooo happy! We stayed together until the very day the papers came back in the mail. Still sleeping in the same bed and all. I think we had the most amiable divorce ever. We were friends after all. Just not compatible socially AT ALL. When the papers came back I moved into a extended stay hotel and put my two weeks notice in at work. I was moving back to Pittsburgh. Ended up staying. . My breh Polo said. . Look. You are still young. . And in FLA. Why go? Just stay and we can have fun. I was like. . He got a point.

Ended up getting a apt at the beach. And focused on work and going out when I had a chance. I was clocking mad hours at work. Pulling in guap. Me and Janet were still cool as fukk. We would talk all the time. She even told me after 5 months of us being divorced she met a dude I was happy for her. It was honestly no hard feelings. I was doing my thing too. I even hit her up a few times for her famous deviled eggs for work pot lucks. nikkas would run thru them fast as fukk. Everything was cool. . UNTIL.

I had not heard from her in over a month. One day I am home with a beer watching WWE Raw when I get a call. Its her on the caller ID.

Janets Sister - You didn't know??? She has been in the hospital for the past month basically in a coma. The dude she was dating almost beat her to death.

As a kid my pops used to tell me stories of situations of guys on his job like this except a lot messier. Kids, drugs involved and custody battles, nikkas living on the street after losing they house and being put in jail over back child support etc.

So I didn't even need to do this:
