Younger folks might not like the 90s humor as they feel society needs to go beyond black people do this...white people do that jokes that peaked in the 90s.
Show seems like a nostalgia play. Not to mention they keep referencing the 90s, lol.
This is vintage 1998 Marlon, but maybe wrong time period for this show. Plus he's stealing the show....he gotta strive for that Fresh Prince character balance.

Y'all missing the biggest problem, son is cheesy. He funny at times but he cheesy as well and has to work on dialing it back a bit so his cost stars can shine. It's one thing if he was killing it but he isn't and I didn't really have a good laugh once at this show. I had a couple sympathy chuckles but he needs to step this up episode 3 or else he won't get a season 2. Bottom line!

This is the problem with the show in a nutshell. Marlon does his Marlon thing, but the rest of the characters are just there. Essence Watkins has always been nothing more than generic female character eye candy, and the rest of them might as well be cardboard cut outs. Pops, Dee, TC, White Mike, Dupree were all great supporting characters played mostly by seasoned actors and balanced out Marlon's extraness. You even see the value of that non-acting Shawn when Marlon doesn't have him to bounce off of
Second episode was better than the first though for those that didn't make it through the pilot. Maybe the 3rd will continue to trend upwards

Marlon is an underrated dramatic actor but I can't put his acting over Keenan's star power and creativity. That won't ever be seen again

Didn't watch this, but saw his last movie on Netflix called "naked" and it was not good. Basically a ripoff of groundhogs day.

Dude Shawn Wayans was just as valuable as Marlon if not more on wayans bros...Shawn is better at pure jokes and funny impersonations than Marlon...Marlon is a act funny and do over the top shyt...but as far as jokes and just saying funny shyt...Shawn got him beat....by far honestly
