It would be funnier if he didn't overact
It's like he has 100 cups of coffee before camera starts rolling

Yooo i'm just starting season 1 on Netflix....in episode one when he was showing his daughter how to scare the white bullies by acting ghetto And he said, "Listen, white people are genetically predisposed to fear black people." Can't believe they let him get that one off on NBC.
Episode too when he did the cry like the best cry ever meme...
I don't like the light skin dude thats portraying Stevie, i wish he had someone crazy in that role like the dude that plays the bootleg Chris Tucker on the new show Rel....that nikka funny.
That was always my critique of his solo work and him as a comedian. He comes off as silly more then genuinely funny and witty like someone like Dave Chapelle or George Carlin. He does too much physical comedy and forces his jokes so much he comes off as corny rather then funny most of the time.watching season 2, just realized how formulaic this show is.
towards the end an entire 5 mins it seems is dedicated to Marlon doing a lot of physical comedy, seems forced
