That Boys II Men... End of the Road episode at the end was hilarious... :russ:
That was straight throwback to Wayans Bros right there, too many hilarious moments
Marlon climbing on top the old white woman while singing :mjlol:
Cracking on everybody with Boyz II Men singing and laughing in the background :deadrose:

I think this was the last episode, so hopefully it's picked up for S2. This show really surprised me. Started out meh, but once it found it's groove it's been legit funny. Still needs a few more characters though. Would be dope is Shawn & John Witherspoon popped up:ahh:

Did you ever see the rest of them? What did you think?
I'm finishing them now. Trying to anyway. I'm not in the best of moods and I'm tired so I'm being over critical.

I've heard a lot of good things after episode 3 so I'm going to probably watch those tomorrow.

One thing im hating is how small these sets are. It seems like the actors are crammed into these very tiny spaces and that's very bad. Like the sister in law person comes in the front door, Marlon answers the door, the camera does an out shot and essence Atkins is standing right next to the kitchen door, Marlon is somewhere in the middle and the stepsister is standing in the door way.

Then the family is eating in that tiny kitchen at that small table all hunched over.

Marlons apt,.....

Everything is really tiny and cramped. The decision to build a Fort was terrible because the fort is / was in every single shot of the living room whether by the front door or when they were talking by the kitchen.

Carmichael show didn't have such tiny sets, neither did cougar town, modern family, arrested Development, Kevin can wait,...even the Wayans Bros apartment was a larger set.

On the Wayans they used to watch tv, or sit / sleep on the couch, then they'd do stuff behind the couch, they had the area where they'd eat. And also in the kitchen.....pops diner had an eating area, the bar, and a little behind it, (Marlon or pops would be behind the bar moving upstage and downstage), then the newsstand....

Then as far as the costume design marlon and his roommate are always wearing a jacket over a hoody, and it's really standing out to me.

Someone else already said it, Marlon does the same old Marlon and everyone eggs him on and sets him up to do it, but as far as their own characters they're very stale.

It does take a minute to warm up though, the first season or 2 of King of Queens was rough, then it took off, I find most shows are bumpy starting office then they hit their stride. Like I've said I've heard good things stating after ep3

Never noticed that about the sets but maybe you have a point and Ill look into that next time I watch an episode. Maybe the show was on a tight budget or something.

As for Marlon doing the same ol' Marlon, that's a fact. It gets some what better but it has a lot of room for improvment imo. You also raise a good point about sitcoms having to hit their stride. It takes a while sometimes for actors to build a chemistry that works very well on screen and sometimes for the writers to really develop something special.
