What's objective is that your private school standard doesn't yet apply to this child and it doesn't cost what she's asking for. And when it does apply she will be seeking much more than 20K.

Child support should be reflective of what it takes a raise a child. If it's about standard of living, the child goes with the breadwinning parent.

Yes I addressed how there isn't a uniform standard as far as what a child "wants" or "needs" in response to you saying what a child wants or needs and since most children become accustomed to their parents living standard, that's what is used to determine child support. A billionaire and a dude earning $60K per year shouldn't be paying the same amount in child support even though both could provide the bare minimum to meet their child's needs. However, I do agree that more children should be able to go with the breadwinning child since that will also cut down on reckless behavior as far as men having children with several different women.

Even a show like Fresh Prince, they aren't getting paid much from royalties. Maybe Will is, and even that's not entirely probable, but no one else is.

You used a scenario that doesn't apply to this child, and proved my point that a child is not seeking anything costing thousands of dollars.

If the cost of supporting a child is what it is, the father making 60K a year or being a billionaire is irrelevant.

The breadwinning parent has the resources and generally actually did have the flexibility to take on multiple children, so it actually doesn't cut down on "reckless behavior".

I know I would want my child to have the best I can give. That being the case, if I was in his shoes, I would sue for primary custody. I would hire a nanny, and then I would know that the money was going directly towards the needs of the child.

He probably could get a well educated nanny for a significantly less price per year than what he is paying in child support. Yea, looked it up. Top earner full time live-in nanny is making about 66k a year in Virginia. Boost that up by about another 20-30k for where he is living, and that is still about 120-130k left over for other child expenses per year.
