So did most scouts and others. Few of us saw through it.

I never understood why Sanchez was getting so much love in the first place, I remember there was rumors of the 49ers taking him and I was hoping to God that didn't happen, Jets traded up for him to save us.

One thing I remember leading up to the draft is Sanchez was on every media platform possible, and he really sold himself well. He said all the right things that you want to hear from a QB and I think that made his stock go higher than it should have.

To me he was always Matteo Leinart.

Looking back at his draft class, the 1st 12 picks gotta be the worst top 12 ever

Stafford
Jason Smith
Tyson Jackson
Aaron Curry
Sanchez
Andre Smith
Derius Heyward-Bey
Eugene Monroe
BJ Raji
Crabtree
Aaron Maybin
Knowshon Moreno

That draft stunk. The only sure bet I saw in the top 12 was Raji and Curry who let me down. I trusted no one else.

I was infatuated with Crabtree that year, bought the jersey day one.

He was a huge disappointment. He's playing solid now, but he's really a #2 possession guy with some decent YAC moves

I don't think anyone should be surprised by this.

I said on Sunday while watching that Sanchez would start this next game.

McElroy didn't do anything earth shattering that should have made him the clear cut favorite...he just didnt suck as bad as Sanchez in that game...the Cards have any other QB in there and they win that game no matter whether it was Sanchez or McElroy in there.

You guys have to realize that the team hates Tebow. He has no future with the Jets, so why start him now? Now why they didn't give McElroy a shot I have no idea...

Jets fans wont want to hear this, but it's the right decision. It's not a 49ers situation, where the backup showed a marked improvement or added another dimension to the offense. It's also not like the 49ers where the backup was already seen as the future of the team and already played a part in their offense. Let's be honest, all the love McElroy got was a product of hating Sanchez and wanting to see anyone but him in there. You guys know that you don't have a good QB on that whole staff. Sanchez is just the better player of a bad group. Rex replaced him last week because he was ineffective and was facing another loss after the most embarrassing loss since he's been the Jet HC. If he's ineffective to begin the game this week they'll take him out again. I'm assuming this is all getting blown up at the end of the season regardless, so if I were y'all I really wouldn't be putting emotion into any of it.
