So this is interesting, it kind of like a rogue like/dark souls type game where theres a risk reward in dropping in and getting enough loot to leave with. Do the tarkov and other extraction games have permadeath?

This the first time I read through this description and that oxygen system sounds cools ass hell.

It basically functions as the closing circle in battle royales.

I like how you can still damage an opponent supply without kill them. Nice strat to take them out of the fight for a moment

A specific text string, “v820.offers.entitlements.d2.marathon.preorder,” was discovered–which The Game Post has verified–sparking speculation that Marathon pre-orders could open as early as Q1 2025.

The “v820” part is particularly important. Bungie tracks Destiny 2 expansions and seasons with version numbers: The Final Shape is “v800,” while the current episode, Revenant, is “v810.” Seeing “v820” in the string points to Episode Heresy, which drops on February 4, 2025.

This could mean one of two things:

• Marathon pre-orders may launch alongside Destiny 2’s Episode Heresy in February 2025 or sometime during the first quarter.

That matches the other leaks, especially about it not being heroes but classes.

they're doing it the right way with weekly playtests via the community. concord didn't do that.. people gotta understand the wrong steps were taken with that game specifically. both marathon and deadlock seem to be building themselves the right way.
