Touge Oni Vol 2

Another solid volume. More truths regarding Ozuno and Miyo finding where she truly wants to be.

In the beginning we see a young Ozuno being fascinated by a dragon God and a beauty in fact. So reach her seems to be the goal, but makes me wonder why is he banned. We also see a human used a s a divine instrument for a God. Ozuno doesn't interfere since he feels wanted by a God. In which makes him jealous since he wished he was desired by Koto-same.

For the rest of the volume centered around Miyo and her desire to be at the capital. We are introduced to Azuma no Miya. A rather unpleasant truth of the matter is that Ozuno has carried many disciples, but the problem being that he has left them in the hands of Miya. The men were ventured off to different areas while woman found their role as one of his wives or send off to marry someone of high status. Unfortunatley for Miyo she wasn't ready to say goodbye to Ozuno so soon. The incense which would ease the pain puts her into a sleep where see forgets what her future self is given.

But in an interesting twist of fate the future selves of Zen abd Ouzno were given the same incense. Where that is the God form of Miya well a spider. This comes from where in this timeline Miyo was dropped off at the capital and Zen was his only true disciple. But given that he gets asked where is your other disciple it puts them into the same dream as Miyo.

Miyo learns the truth of her master in terms of leaving disciples and it has to do with these people being afraid of Zen which she holds no grudges towards. Seeing Goki and talking to her was the push she needed to find Zen and Ozuno. In a nice contrast we see both future versions of Zen and Ozuno go out to protect Miyo showing that they don't want to regret leaving her behind. Nice conclusion to this arc where it is detined that Miyo will stay as a disciple of Ozuno. We also see Goki/Miyo's future self where she meets both Ozuno and Zen before they meet the current Miyo for the first time.

New Golf debuted today in WSJ

First Chapter was solid. Male lead basically admires all the accomplishments his friends done with their lives and kind of makes light of it. But has no idea what he wants to do. His interactions points him to the direction of golf from talking with the female Mc which has potential for. Story feels kind generic, which isn't a bad thing. Art looks good. I such don't think its a good fit for WSJ.

MamaYuyu Ch. 12

Man poor Minerva. Abusive mother who took advantage of her and sold her off. Despite the front she puts for both Corelo and Elysia to have someone to rely on. The unconditional love phrase us sickening from the mom since she did to take full advantage for Minerva.

But the fact is Corelo being the genuine good kid isn't someone to give up on someone since they are no longer for use. But Minerva this is a big deal for her because from at least what we know it seems she was also afraid of people leaving her.

Corelo using Evan's sigel, but it makes me curious how it works. Considering that its typical for one per user. Could this be a case of him dividing multiple sigels in the amount of energy you normally get from one maybe? Would be stupidly OP if he could use multiple sigels at each full power.

Blue Box Ch. 127

Seeing Natsu and Yumeka make up and being friends makes their moment in this chapter really wholesome. But its easier to forget they go to different schools so they would compete against each other in nationals.

Haryuu hitting that realization when you are senior where this is the last we will be competing in high school. It's one of those moments when you sit back and think about you really are like damn this is the last time before they take the next step after high school.

Akari is a sweet girl, but Natsu and Taki keeping their relationship a secret is going to unfortunately get her heart broken considering how much she is crushing on Taki. Still being able to train with Hyodo is a big deal for him all things considered.

Some interesting bits for this chapter as we continue forward.

We learned that datenseki is a toxic source material of the enchanted blades. Chihro’s father is the only one able to make due with it. But poor Char man the whole thing is so fukked up. Chirio is one stubborn dude, but him seeking out to just rescue Char might be the way to go. He has no shot against Sojo in his current state and he can't rescue Char by himself.

Witch and the Beast Vol 5

More good shyt.

So in the beginning here we see the encounter of Guideau and the witch she is looking for. To put it in simply terms this witch is terrifying. She is just toying with Guideau knowing how powerless she is against Angela, the witch. The fact that she is known as the Eternal Witch and how Helga mentions how frightening she is this is one tough monster. And she took care of that executioner like it was nothing as well replicated a forbidden instrument with easy . Guideau literally going back to the state Ashaf first found her. Apparently shehad some restrictions from Ashaf as she was recovering. But being separated from Ashaf at that moment was the worst scenario for him. No shock Guideau is pissed .

We get a flashback when Ashaf and Guideau first met. Which was cause there was a witch in that particular town. So basically the problem is that a witch named Favell can't use magic. But when Guideau tries to attack Favell a monster comes to defend her. So we had a witch who can't use magic defended by a thing created by magic. No wonder Ashaf immediately realized it must be a 3rd party. Also the point of Guideau's mark being recognized by them does put that Angela had clearly some involvement.

We learn that Favell is a mystic witch, basically she uses speech as her magic. Which means if she can't talk then she can't access that particular magic. We see what could be Craig talking about how great the tea that Favell makes and they are paying her back in other ways. Immediately the older man appears odd. Ashaf was able to convince Guideau to help protect Favell. Well the information Ashaf provided may have resulted the executioners to come kill Favell since she appears to be useless.

Ashaf was smart enough to notice Craig was the one that summoned the beast. Favell's friend gets brutally killed and the same mark Guideau has is on Favell's tongue. Craig and the older gentelement is the pair of executioners that have come for Favell. Ashaf is able to make it back to stall them and gives Favell advice on how she can survive. Like we have seen before a kiss will temporarily break Guideau's curse. While Guideau in their true form is terrifying, but as a result of being a witch's curse, Favell is able to talk. Lets just say she is frighteningly scary. She easily deals with the executioners as well as revives her friend. It really puts into words that Favell is this powerful with her magic, but Angela is supposedly another level In an ironic thing since being cursed Guideau knows very little of being in a body of a woman.

Angela left a clue on where to start looking for her. Clearly a trap, but any lead helps Ashaf here. So apparently there is an island between the 7th and 8th continents that can connect to other worlds. And the clue leads to a world of vampires. This exposition adds a lot of interesting stuff. Not to mention supposedly an ally awaits both Guideau and Ashaf.

The Witch & Beast Vol 6.

This manga consistency is really fukking impressive.

One thing very interesting about these various worlds that can differ so different from the regular one Ashaf and Guideau are from is that magic is limited in this world. This is much more a concern for Ashaf then it is for Guideau. They are greeted with a vampire Dunward and the mage Oscar. As typical Guideau tries to show off her confidence in her strength, but Dunward really showcasing how strong he is. Not only saving Guideau but making it known she can't out muscle him in her current form.

It is known that vampires are immortal which is an interest bit from Dunward. Basically going after their face, eyes, arms and legs is the way to deal with them. This is a fight not meant for Oscar and Ashaf so they take their step back. It is known from the enemy vampires that Dunward is a criminal of sorts, which adds what is going on. And we hit the point that Ashaf didn't press the issue of asking Dunward what the plan was . Good thing Oscar is there. As he is bringing up to speed he tries to use Guideau as an offering to the king. The weird point is aren't they going after the queen. We do know that Angela is a witch that can forcibly put one in a different body. In the case of Guideau she has a witch's body due which vampires crave.

It is stated in this vampire world there are two kings. One who rules over vampires whom meld into human society. And the one who is King of the night whom is adored by the magic of the night. Dunward was the latter. Hope this part gets elaborated more. Basically someone thing happened between the Queen and Dunward. It's safe to assume they were King and Queen. And its clear the queen is working with Angela. And they will need to get through the queen before getting to Angela.

We also the one shot presented in a chapter which was cool. It really showcases how witches can blend into society and how much destruction they can cause they can cause. Getting on ones bad side is a huge recipe for disaster. Meanwhile we get an extra chapter with phanora. Which focuses on daughter asking to revive her father as an undead. Issue being the father asked not to be reborn. When he revived he kills his daughter. And an undead can't be a practitioner. Now the father is an undead with no purpose. Which elaborates on the definition on what a stray is. Simply they are straying around with no purpose until they rotten.

The Dangers in My Heart Ch. 134

What an amazing chapter. Happy it got resolved within 1 chapter. I really like he allows Yamada to come to terms with it herself. Which is part of the complaints that Moe that everyone is babying Yamada.

Instead this chapter we get a little insight that Kyo understands where Moe is coming from. Since he had similiar thoughts since Yamada can be irritating, but in way that is her charm. And to note that feeling of jealousy you don't want to have it consume them because both Anna and Moe mention hanging out with the other is extremely fun. It would be a shame to ruin that friendship.

At the end they have their moment in the sand. You can tell that Anna has things she still wants to work on. Glad the drama is resolved. Also I find it funny Moe put the blame on the other 3.

The Witch and the Beast Vol 7.

the reveals, the twists man oh man.

As we start we are met with Dunward's brother who invites Guideau, Ashaf, his brother and Oscar to a feast. Ashaf and Guideau end up getting poisoned and falling unconscious. Funny enough it was mentioned by Guideau asking Ashalf if they can trust Dunward and Oscar. At the very least Ashaf is absolutely certain that he can trust Oscar. Which nails what happens next. While Dunward is shocked at what happens he decides to play along with his brother since he believes its his best interest. But Oscar on the money asking why do this since they will be after the queen just like they are. Clearly Oscar is the brains between these two, but she can't out muscle him when he is ignorant.

Ashaf and Guideau were able to escape but make into a run with the queen. And well she is quite the foe even for Ashaf. The queen is a of both vampire and witch magic. But what does that make her a vampire or witch? More then likely I would guess that she is a vampire who can use witch magic from Angela. Quite the foe. Ashaf could have taken down the queen, but in a rare moment Guideau suggests that him using all his reserve magic is a bad idea. Guideau sacrifices herself in a moment we haven't seen from her given how being forced in a witch's body she doesn't act much like a human so the character development here is really nice.

Now his brother has Dunward in the palm of his hands. Now he has a clear goal to get to the queen by bringing Ashaf. Oscar comments like us he is digging his grave deeper and deeper. But holy shyt Ashaf just doing whatever needs to be done to rescue Guideau. Mechanicalizing his brain just so he can fight against Dunward if need be. . Oscar really stepping up proving Ashaf's trust in her suggesting to cooperate and saving Guideau.

Guideau being captured is quite the sight. There is a brief mention of the power of a witch's kiss. For Guideau it is a curse, but for the queen its a sign of love. Feels like she is very loyal to Angela. But how does Angel view her? No surprise Guideau was just waiting for the queen to leave to start her escape. And well per usual Guideau causing even chaos.

MamaYuyu Ch. 13

What an amazing chapter.

First we get a clear resolve from Corleo for protecting Minerva. Loved it. For Ralfred the princess's death was more cruel given that it was her demon younger brother. It makes sense where his hatred come. He saw a union of Humans and Demons and the princess was killed by her demon brother. No more then that needs justification.

But Corelo words hold true. His princess would be disgusted in what he has been doing. Good job by Corleo. Loving this manga more and more.

Man Taki aint gonna get a better practice then Hyodo. Holy crap this line you can feel his confidence in his abilities on this. Whenever the anime gets to it in the far distant future is gonna be a great quote.

But the pressure of the 3rd years to win the nationals is real. But you could also say that this is Taki's last chance to win nationals in the same year as Natsu. Poor Akari tho, Haruto is putting dirty thoughts in her pure head

Man great chapter showcasing Ms. Tao's backstory so brutal. Dealing with a PoS father and being forced for an organization that wouldn't allow her to simply escape. The pain of not able to protect your precious brother.

Damn author getting us slightly invested in his opponent damn. I really hope Nito doesn't overthink that if he wins Shotaro's career ends. But honestly seeing the old man's wife pregnant man, I just hope Nito is able to win in a clean victory.

But Nito facing off against a veteran who is bound to retire makes me feel like someone is out for him
