nikkas complain about the length of One Piece or Kingdom, but I will never understand how Ippo has gotten a pass for staying on the same exact story beat for going on a decade soon. t's a reincarnation story. Whether it is just reincarnation or reverse isekai is up for debate so far from what I read. Basically a God necromancer gets reincarnated as a teen. One nice thing here so far is that the real Polka isn't dead and the original being alive just not in his body is cool
MC seems to have a lot of good morals for a former necromancer so that is very interesting to say the least. Ironically him getting to now what seems to be some crime group is interested. Clarissa seems to be the leader and its clear she seems dangerous. Cops seem to really know their stuff, but this dude Arase looks to be on some
shyt.
Pretty solid first volume. It ended with Lemmings (after showing why he is so feared) showing up while the cops were interrogating the gang. Looking forward to the start of the next volume

Dead Mount Death Play Vol 2
The whole exchange was Lemmings was really weird. Basically going after Misaki and well growth from Corpse God in trying to protect her. Really showing that he is a good guy that truly wants piece. You can tell humans around him are rubbing off on him. But Lemmings is no joke sheeesh. We get introduced to Polka's niece and nephew who happen to be twins. They end up getting Polka to come home, well it was more so the case of their what ended up being her dead older sister asking to help them.
Suzuka's death was tragic. Unfortunately she eavesdropped at the wrong time, which lead her to enter the house at the wrong time. But something with the twins older brother Takeru Shinoyama seems really off. He is seen giving orders to the twins in a crude manner. Even just him having Yochigi and Lemmings underneath him is scary enough. Easy signs that you can't trust him.
Polka's dad is surprisingly sharp for this age. He could see through Corpse God, but given that he spent no effort saving the twins it seems highly likely that they can at least understand each other. Really comes to how much of the truth he tells him. Very likely whoever is the "Fire breathing Bug" will making an appearance very shortly.

We are getting more lore here and what is leading up to a fight. Tho this girl calling Kayano an enemy even tho she cut her brother in half and ripped out their heart
. Jinkas used as a weapon against Jinkas makes sense but that is a double edge sword for them.
On another note the art here looks really promising.
Also caught up with Polar Opposites. Despite having confession the leads getting together after one chapter. For a romance series it has so much going for it. Its showing a wide cast of characters were it builds 6 of them extremely well including the leads. Structure is very Horimiya like where the cast feels real and relatable.

We start off with Corpse God admitting to Polka's father that he is not Polka. The fact that didn't panic when Corpse God mentioned he is not of this world is a sign how levelheaded he is of the situation. But he is a powerful ally for Corpse God given that he aims to protect Polka.
We get introduced to Tena Sorimura and he is an entertaining fellow. Unlike most villains he does what he does out of pleasure. Which makes a very fun character going forward. His interaction with Fire Breathing Bug. We doesn't really have a voice and he is pretty distrusting of Tena. But Tena saying he isn't of this world and being a fire spirit could be something worth paying attention to.
Due to the fire Soya and her body guard Lei end up living with Polka and the gang. While Soya is most likely is what are impression are of her, Lei has his own motives. Backstory for him is pretty sad
.Father putting some posion bacteria into a child so that their skills bascially inrease tenfold. Sicking shyt. Obviously Polka's dad was disgusted with it which is why he bought the kid. While I don't blame him for being distrusting in Corpse God, but his hatred for the true Polka comes from a sense of jealously. He was more useful to the old man compared to the real Polka who was rather pathetic and useless. But that is the Polka the old man loves, so him desiring to kill Polka feels over the top. Since Lei will never get the same affection from the old man like Polka will get. A loving parent will always have a special place for their true children.
The cops really sticking into Corpse God's business as well as the family home when matters were looking to be resolved. Well they are learning more and more of Corpse God, but I highly doubt they will figure out he is from another world. Tsubaki gets his fortune read by Corpse God, but the sign Pen-kun writes is one that only Hosorogi and Tsubaki knew. The other dice is that Hosorogi was a senpai/mentor for both Clairissa and Tsubaki. This makes Pen-kun much more interesting going forward.
It is revealed that at the end of the novel that sign is the empire sign from Corpse God's world. However its an unlikely coincidence that somebody from that empire reincarnated as FIre breathing bug going off Tena's remarks. It is 95% likely that this world and Corpse God's world are one and the same.

Dope chapter. Showcasing that Nico and Tatshuiko depsite having roadblocks are keeping progressing forward. It's easy to lose motivation when roadblocks suddenly appear on the way to ones own goals.

Read "The Boy Who Cried Wolf Tells a Lie Today Also". Very unconventional romcom. Guy dresses up like a girl and befriends his crush to try and help her through some trauma. Then her female best friend gets involved with him when he's dressed normal and a weird love triangle happens. It didn't go the way I expected at all. Pretty short read.

. Meanwhile Polka's niece Sayo is so obsessed with sharks that she is jealous that the real Polk is inside a stuff shark 
These 2 are a riot. Beyond that this was mostly focus on the police force ( strangely enough at odds against each other) and Corpse God's past.
The old empire sign is very telling for corpse god, but it is interesting that the sign he knows is a fake. Something is def in the works. Also we see a girl and Tena paying a trip to Corpse God fortune telling and both asking about the sign. Man they couldn't try to make themselves to be suspicious. Could this be someone from Corpse God's past perhaps? But considering the raincoat and the writing inside Polka's room it seems that this girl could be fire breathing bug?
Just a weird twist of events where both the girl and Tena are back surveying the area where Polka lives. Lei notices Tena right away and well a very interesting interaction. Tena unsurprsingly attacks Tena, but how he attacks him was like wtf
. Extension claws of some kind. Then Lemmings joins the two of them and only goes after Tena due to orders from Takeru. But its not like Lei's attacks would do anything. This dude Lemmings is off the chain sheeeesh,
In short basically Corpse God despite his strength is still mentally a child. It seems that he is a very level headed individual according to his former master. But when there is someone close to him in danger he will go full out to save them. Polka and Sayo are two individuals who are that to him right now. A big issue for him in the past is that he couldn't save the ones dear to him.
