CSM Vol 11/Pt 1

Overall it was very entertaining again due to its unconventional as a shounen. Imo the lack of character depth minus Aki def hurts it. Imo having a very interesting world, but a mid cast of characters really hurts it. But given that this was setup as a part one it potentially could improve that issue in part two. Not asking Denji to be this generic Shounen portaginst, but hopefully the dude actually starts to think for himself. Right now it is very hard to care about him. It's funny at first but these moments don't work great if you keep relying on them. Tho they work better in an anime medium cause of voice acting and animation.

If I had to rate it, it would be 9/10 tho if Denji stays the same in part two I would drop it to 8/10.


Very interested to see how the anime handles the rest of part one given that it has adapted majority of the slow moments in part one. Ignoring episode count I would say ideally S2 would cover V5 -> V8 and S3 would cover V9 -> V11. Looking forward to the fights and getting my reaction seeing these animated.

This last chapter Chainsaw Man was disjointed at the beginning, I had to go back a chapter to make sure I didn't miss anything. How they jumped straight into a battle after she attempted to create a weapon makes no sense.

Denji Spinal Cord Sword got me weak though. Creh is the polar opposite of the Rizzler, mf has NO luck with women.

Caught with CSM. So far Part two was been pretty meh so far. The shift to Asa so far has been meh. At least with Denji we got some stupid humor to go along with the draggy parts. It's kind of hard to care about her at all. Altho next chapter we finally get to see Nayuta tho which seems could change things up where it stands now. The sooner the focus goes back to Denji the better at this point..

Gonna start reading Oshi no Ko tomorrow.
