During my adolescence, since time was much more free then, I made sure I knew the complete movesets of absolutely every character in every fighting game that I played and all the MK fatalities were memorized. I made sure I was a viable threat with whatever character I played.

I was unfukkwithable with those characters that I mastered though. Being a Jack of All Trades is cool when playing with your boys when there's no money on the line but we used to do tournaments for cash at every birthday party so I had to be on point.

Just throwing an honorable mention to Tyson PunchOut. I left the victory screen on for 5 days until enough of my friends saw it so they couldnt call on me. The game wasn't long but Tyson was hard as fukk to beat. I think I won by split decision and shyt my pants

Yeah, this generation of people have grown soft in all areas. They want everything in a microwave minute and don't want to put any effort into getting it. This definitely includes video games, cuz they don't want to learn the game or earn their victories, they just want instant win satisfaction to be handed to them and it sucks. I go thru this playing games with my niece, always whining and quick to quit a game just cuz I don't let her win, yet she asks me to play knowing this. Catches an attitude and the whole 9 too, and I don't even gloat or anything over beating her cuz what point would there even be to doing so. Can't even understand or sit thru two minutes of tutorials of a game like Critter Crunch, but begging me to play with her. Shut up.

Kids these days know nothing about the struggle of gaming. What they know about timing that jump just right with one health left or its back to the beginning? What they know no saves, leaving the system on for days and praying no one bumps the console? No its just twitch shooters where the only skill involved is seeing someone first and pressing right trigger to spray.

kids are just dumb, soft and are more passionate about how tight their pants fit or how they look on facebook/twitter/instagram nowadays. i remember playing counter strike and starcraft around that age and raising hell if i lost, especially during a scrimmage. i beat resident evil 2 in one sitting when it first came out while kids today struggle with fruit samurai
