Cops do not prioritize de-escalation in the best of situations. Once you get out of your car at a traffic stop you're basically dog food. I'm sure every police officer remembers the dash cam footage of that cop who was killed because he continuously tried to deescalate a traffic stop with an old cac who eventually delivered to him a slow and painful death, then drove off. When the cac was arrested and asked why he killed the officer he said; "because he let me." I believe that cop had disciplinary actions on file for escalation too.

Whether you agree or not, the onus is on the citizen to deescalate, not the paid professional. It's not right but you can protest this absurdity at your own peril.
This is the most pro-police post I’ve seen on here in a long time :mjlol: straight up police academy training babble that’s beyond shameful.

“Why did you kill that unarmed black man?”

“Don’t you remember that dash cam footage from 1994?! The citizen is supposed to deescalate not me!”

Any police officer with the mindset you described needs to be stripped of their badge and made to pack boxes, which is usually the only thing they were qualified to do before becoming a cop.

Okay, that may be right, it won't stop you from dying. But, perhaps it can be an epitaph on your gravestone after a cop's earned a paid vacation blowing your head off because you held the police to a standard you know they can't maintain. But hey, go off and get blown away. It'd literally be your funeral. :yeshrug:

Okay, officer :pachaha: I can tell police academy training babble from a mile away

Easiest way for a stupid person to earn a living in this country is to become a cop. Been that way for a long time. Making excuses for murder because “they can’t maintain a standard” is goofy. In reality it’s because the majority are scared, have no courage, no life experience, no emotional intelligence or intelligence in general.

Funny how that same quick trigger thinking isn’t present when it’s someone else with a gun, or some children trapped in a school with a crazed gunman.

Maybe they can put that on their epitaph. “I was tough guy until I really needed to be one.”

So what are you going to do about it?

EDIT - Also your last line doesn't even make sense. Their cowardice is more likely to keep them alive. You have to learn how to flip points better. You tried though.

I never mentioned a why or cause of death. You tried though. Happy thanksgiving, officer

I did though. Which is why your post didn't make sense. Thanks for making my point. Congratulations, you did something smart on accident. And Thanksgiving? Only thing I'm celebrating this week is the birth of my daughter. You're on here with all of this unnuanced militant babble wishing people a Happy Thanksgiving? That shyt is as white washed as Columbus Day. :pachaha:

Enjoy your food, friends and family tomorrow.
