But Muhammad Ali WHOOPED HIS ASS!!!...lol...my pops had the comic from the seventies where they fought and Muhammad Ali beat him something serious! His powers were turned off of course..But damn!

He also doesnt know Brazillian jiujtisu either so if he fought me hed probably get beat like that as well. (powers off obviously) His strength makes the need to hone his technique obsolete.

He imposes limits on his own power. That's kinda the point of the whole character. He's the antithesis of the thought that absolute power corrupts absolutely. He can rule the world without much effort at all, but he chooses to be one of us.

Some people see his godlike powers as boring, but I can tell you straight up if I had them I'd have no qualms about being the king of the world OR if I was protecting folks and Luthor was being annoying I'd kill him without a 2nd thought. His fight ain't with the criminals it's always internal. That's what makes the trailer of the movie so dope. It seems like they get that. Most people in his position would abuse the fukk outta it, but he doesn't and the potential of what he could do frightens everyone hence the government bringing him in.

I'd advise everyone to read Red Son if they haven't. It's a story that explores what would happen if Superman decided to abuse his powers and impose his will on the world

It had really cool visuals, but it is pretty much universally disliked by critics/superman fans/comic book fans. The story fell apart really early on in the film, and the actor (who had no acting experience i think, was cast cuz he looked like Reeves) was playing Chris Reeves more than he was playing Superman. (cuz it was supposed to be a continuation from the OG superman movies as opposed to a reboot)

I'd advise everyone to read Red Son if they haven't. It's a story that explores what would happen if Superman decided to abuse his powers and impose his will on the world

I know some of the older movies are sposed to be classics but I've caught a few minutes of some of them and they came off a little corny. Maybe I'm being judgmental on a short viewing period though.

I took it as absolute disrespect to the original Superman movie. I really hated Superman Returns--As a Deadbeat dad and cockblocker. The movie was horrible. After you get past the Airplane scene the movie was garbage
How in the world does Superman land on a huge land of KRYPONITE then get prison shanked? I'm getting angry just thinking about this....Then that white washed Last Air Bender Movie and Dragonball Evolution...Good God...

Yeah check it out, don't expect too much out of it cept some cool flying scenes tho, it gets weird half way thru.

Since I am a young dude and the OG superman movies were way before my time, I was never really that into them. I always preferred seeing Superman in animated films and shows. DC releases really dope animated movies of Superman and Batman, they are not childish and kiddy at all - in fact it is very adult and you won't feel like you have to dumb yourself down watching them. Maybe you can check those out.

Just watch the very first Superman with Reeves and leave the rest of them alone. The one where he fought Nuclear Man was very corny too...lol..Superman Returns will find new ways to make you angry.

Lol don't even get me started bout the latter two movies you mentioned.

But yeah Returns wasn't good, a lot of people were at first cuz of the novelty that a Superman film is made. The story was all over the place, stiff acting, bad writing, etc.
