Man of Steel is the most underrated superhero movie of all time.

Well?

  • It is, it is a great movie.

  • Nope, it sucks (I only watched it once)

This logic is why Marvel got away with an angry Thor hitting Captain America's shield and Cap not being obliterated. Or Ironman being able to hold his own with Thor. Thor is God status but he's nerfed to make the situations plausible. But in this very thread y'all nikkas want to complain about heroes staying true to the source material. "This is the way Superman is supposed to be" Which would mean him being so powerful and able to withstand a nuke is exactly what you would expect. Except that's what your complaining about. But It's Gucci when Ant-man is reduced to a jokester, Thor is no where near as powerful as he's supposed to be, the Ancient One is portrayed by a fukking white woman, The Mandarin is a member of the Screen Actor's Guild, milly rocking is capable of beating a villain wielding a fukking Infinity Gem. Is it Oochie Wally or is it One Mic with y'all? Pick a stance and stay consistent. Other wise, don't expect to be taken seriously

His motivation was clear as day. He wanted to be a :cape: for the planet but he didn't want to be outted, at least not yet because Pa Kent wanted it that way and knew that the world wasn't ready to handle it. Clark wanted to be a savior, a hero from day one. They even show him parading around in a fake cape as a kid.

But he was also trying to find himself. He was tacking that issue when we first see him.

We got some real dummies on here :pachaha:

Funny you bring that up because to me that was the weirdest and most outright dumbest thing in the entire movie. If Superman is the first cape wearing superhero then who tf is he emulating?:francis:

And for a guy that doesn't wanna be outed he sure spends a lot of time performing super heroic feats in front of complete strangers... walking into fires right in front of them and lifting up huge oil tanks. Or did I imagine those scenes?

Saving his father using super speed admidst a tornado where hardly anyone would notice? Bad.

Saving random strangers and not even being the slightest bit coy about being a super powered freak? Sure why not.
