Man of Steel is the most underrated superhero movie of all time.

Well?

  • It is, it is a great movie.

  • Nope, it sucks (I only watched it once)

nikkas still talking about this shyt, yet want to act like it was forgettable:mjlol:

It wasn't forgettable, it was just shyt, shyt in a memorable way. Kinda like Batman Forever/Batman and Robin.

DC fanfukkkers still trying to act like their movies are actually any good when most agree DC sucks and it's Marvel all the way :yeshrug:

nikka, you will never see me post about Ant-man cause the shyt was trash to me. I don't post about Suicide Squad because the shyt was trash to me. There are literally cats who have been posting about Man of Steel for years. Keep telling yourself it's because it's trash if you want, but all you're doing by confirming you've been talking about a trash movie for years is that you're obsessively lame
:duck::duck::duck:

actually he had some of the worst villain motivations in history. the planet is literally about to explode and he still wants to start an uprising instead of getting the fukk off the planet. even russel crowe was like :hhh: "there's not gonna be anything left to rule dummy"

and then finally when he lands on earth and realizes he has god-like powers, he would rather turn earth into krypton... which means he would lose his powers. :mjlol:
You clearly skimmed through the movie if you missed the part where Kryptonians had been looking for planets to colonize for centuries. Or if you missed the fact they had a big ass machine solely built for terraforming planets...aka the nikkas had contingency plans for the event of the end of the world. Your point about him not realizing he would have superpowers if he left Earth the way it is...addressed in the movie:beli:You also missed the part where being a general and the perseverance of Krypton was literally what he was made to do. Not an aspiration, he was genetically engineered to care about Krypton and it's lasting existence:beli:

These marvel stans are insecure as fukk. Act like man of steel didn't have better action than the majority of marvel superhero movies

"A lot of people don't like it and that validates my opinion :skip:"

the fukk

and honestly if you hate on the smallville fight you're a fukking lame

I thought it was lame and stupid. I didn't really feel like there were any stakes, the two villains weren't really fleshed out (Did the big guy even have a name) so the conflict didn't really mean much to me. It looked cool but it was hard to be invested.

Seeing Superman punch a dude into a gigantic train and cause huge explosions was stupid. Hell, I thought it was stupid that he moved the fight into the middle of a populated city.

I was hoping they did more to show Superman try to limit property damage, casualties, and the like. You saw him save that soldier but that's it.

It's like the Transformer movie fights.

The worst thing about the movie is that it had potential. The idea of Clark growing into Superman but being flawed at it is interesting because I was hoping the next movie would show Superman using his brain to limit killing or civilian deaths with his other powers but BvS barely did that.

Best movie in the D.C. universe but meh. I put it up there with Thor 2. Cool moments but fairly forgettable.

But I get why y'all like this. It's a Superman movie for people who don't really like Superman and don't really care why he's the ideal superhero. :yeshrug:

But it's moments like this that resonate with me when it comes to Superman more than any fight scene or badass moment. This one moment completely encapsulates exactly what makes Superman so special to me (Dude is one of my favorite heroes of all time) and it just felt like MoS misses what made Superman special to try to capture on that "tortured hero" audience that the Dark Knight had gotten :yeshrug:

Make Superman Great Again: Morality, Philosophy and The Man of Steel - ComicsVerse

If y'all ever get interested, this is a pretty decent article that I kinda explains why Superman's portrayal in MoS off. It's kinda long though but it's interesting.

Then he gets back up like it's nothing more than a paper cut. These Kyrptonians are too powerful, and because of that there are no God damn stakes. People just smashing into things and things blowing up and everyone walking away unscathed, shyt is dull.
