Yall killing me with the Nolan shyt...

Chris Nolan is an executive producer and that's about it.

David Goyer came up with the original idea for the story and wrote the screenplay (with some help from Nolan's brohter).

Zack Snyder did all the heavy lifting of making the film. I'm not even a huge Snyder fan (outside of his great DOTD remake) but yall not giving him enough credit for what might be a great film.

Nolan has put a spell on these dudes. He could make a movie about his dog pooing in the back yard and these clowns would call it a classic.

Why can't people like more than one movie in here:merchant: I'm not getting any money off the boxoffice takes but I will be :bryan::noah: in the theatre eating my nachos and drinking my icee

Y'all ain't got no movie theatres that sell liquor and actual food in em out there??

I'm gonna be in the theatre with my drank and a fresh pizza like :gladbron: :lawd::whew:

Supes is the WORST character for lazy ass writers. It seems like they did the work in this

SMH. Nolan's not your hometown team you grew up watching that you should blindly support breh.

I don't get this concept of blindly supporting directors/entertainers/products/companies that ya'll be on.:merchant:

I mean, for me Batman's my favorite fictional character, easily. If you suffered Batman Forever and Batman and Robin like I did, and he dropped Batman Begins/TDK/TDKR on you afterward, you'd be like me :bryan:

But let's not act like Insomnia, Momento, The Prestige, and inception aren't good movies, neither. The actual process of film making is top notch, even of the story doesn't appeal to all.

But word, it's a total geek thing, breh. Whether it's the source material or just the film itself :yeshrug:

he's not the executive producer.. he's THE PRODUCER. WB hired him to oversee the entire pick. he's the one that HAND-PICKED snyder. he's the one that reviewed goyer's story like he ALWAYS in all of team nolan's films. he's like george lucas and snyder being irving kershner... kershner may have directed EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, others may have written the screenplay, but it was STILL LUCAS fingerprints all over the FILM overseeing the project just to ensure its the way he wants it. that's precisely why people are mentioning NOLAN on this, because of that very same reason.

EDIT: not to mention BOTH GOYER AND NOLAN came up with the story! check the writing credits.

If you're really that big of a fan of his, then :salute:

I'm the same way with a comic book artist name Jim Lee. I've never seen a bad drawing of his.:noah:

A little bit more details about the story (don't know if its already posted but I aint reading through 25 pages to find out)

man-of-steel-01.jpg

:ahh:

1.Superman’s birth name is Kal-El, and in this film he was born “illegally” on his home world. Why? Because his was a natural birth, without genetic manipulations to dictate his role in Kryptonian society, which is mandatory on that planet.
2.There’s no Kryptonite. Fanboys are freaking out in message boards all over the ‘net right now over this one, and they need to chill a bit. First of all, just because the glowing green rocks don’t make an appearance in this movie, that doesn’t mean Kryptonite doesn’t exist — it’s just not being used this time around. Which is good, because it can be an overused plot device and removes the need to find other, more interesting ways to challenge Superman. Besides… maybe there’s no Kryptonite because that would require the planet Krypton to have already exploded, and just maybe that didn’t happen yet. What if Kal-El was sent away from Krypton to save him because of his illegal birth status, and the planet is dying but not totally gone yet? What if Krypton’s destruction comes later?
3.Clark wanders the world doing super-deeds, and reporter Lois Lane gets very interested. Part of his journey of self discovery involves traveling the world and looking for answers about his destiny, to decide what he’s meant to do with his powers. Along the way, of course, he’s going to help people using his powers, and that’s bound to attract some press attention. So Lois will start looking for this mysterious super-samaritan, and eventually she’ll find him (he’s the one in the big red cape).
4.Superman’s iconic costume is actually underwear! Kind of. Turns out, it’s the suit that Kryptonians would wear underneath their armor — in the film’s trailer and promotional images, Zod and his comrade-in-arms Faora wear armor, and apparently the armor fits over the top of body suits like Superman’s. Superman, however, lacks armor for his suit, since he wasn’t genetically modified to serve as a warrior, and since he was shipped off to his foster family on Earth.
5.The Fortress of Solitude is apparently a Kryptonian spaceship hidden underground on Earth. Clark will eventually locate it, and this will be how he learns about his true Kryptonian origins. Why is there a Kryptonian ship buried on Earth? Who sent it? It seems Clark’s biological father, Jor-El, sent the ship for some reason, but that’s not guaranteed.
6.General Zod comes to Earth looking for Kal-El. While it’s not clear exactly what fate (if any, yet) has befallen the planet Krypton, Zod and Faora are tracking down Superman, and the fact our hero was illegally birthed on his home world might factor into Zod’s reasons for trying to track him down.
7.Superman actually negotiates with General Zod. Yes, while it’s inevitable that they’ll get down to a big, bad super-brawl, apparently at first Superman is willing to go to Zod’s spaceship and discuss terms with him. For some reason, Superman also brings Lois Lane to the ship with him, which can’t possible be a good thing for her. The negotiations obviously won’t go well, and it looks like there’s some fighting on the spaceship before the battle spreads to Earth.
