You may be right cuz aint nothing average about Batman Begins. That was a damn good beginning of a great trilogy. And i know a lot of people who still think its the best. If this new Superman is even close to as good as the first Batman i will be satisified.

most of the hype this movie is getting is due to two main reasons.
1. nolan fanboys
2. DC comics fanboys
I'd say the second is more of importance. DC comics fanboys are really hoping for this movie to take off cause of the success of Marvel movies and especially the Avengers. They'recause of the attention those movies as well as Marvel got compared to DC comics.
So now anytime a trailer or news comes out, DC comics fanboys hype the shyt out of it.
This is same with Batman. The series got progressively worse. IMO BB > DK > DKR. And for most casual fans who believe that DK was the best out of the bunch - they cite Heath Ledgers performance more than anything.
Will say it again. Iron Man 3 and Star Trek look way better. And most likely will draw more box office success than this one.
Im not a fanboy and im looking forward to IM3 and ST.
However ....This trailer looks good...compare it to Superman returns and you might see why there is so much praise....

Breh, I barely even check up on DC books besides Animal Man, JL, and Detective Comics. I'm a Marvel stan, no joke, and I read most of their major books along with anything to do with their cosmic shyt. But this movie right here looks, at least in my opinion, to be a fantastic show of the DC Universe visually. Everything is just grander, the feeling is more mysterious and fantastic. I have high hopes for this.
And Supes is due for a huge hit, anyways

I agree 100%. If Shannon makes the character even slightly rememberable, that's a W. but I hate the character, I hate whenever he's involved, and I just think its lame. Heroes against people exactly like them bores me. Like how they had Stark fighting another guy in a iron man suit in the second film. I don't wanna see that shyt, man. Throw in someone with completely different skillsets

This looks good but to be honest, I'd rather have seen a remake of Superman 2 which is my favourite Superman movie.
