Man I feel like DC is making a mistake having two different version of characters on film and on TV

DC fukked up a long time ago. They actually tried to explain the multiverse thing in Flash when they were going to different Earth's and kind of hinted at the DCEU one. Grant Gustin is the Flash though. He embodies that shyt and has earned the name Barry Allen. I was watching JL again this weekend and Ezra Miller's goofball ass galloping/running pissed me off even more. Its like he had polio tripping over everything in the movie.

:mjlol:

He said he studied ice speed skaters, hence that atrocious running form.

:laff:

If you get confused by the same character having a TV show and an unconnected movie then you might not be too bright.
Its not that type of confusion of not knowing who is who is. It just seems really ridiculous to have two verisons of superman two of the flash two supergirls in movie and tv form running concurrently. ZIn my mind if one if vastly better you are only doing yourself a diservice.

I know in comic book form it makes sense but tv/movie not so much.

I don't see the problem with it. These are characters that lend themselves to diverse interpretations so using them in a TV setting and then doing a totally different version in movies is no big deal.
Its like when the Sherlock TV show was on at the same time as the Sherlock Holmes movies were out. Two different takes on the same character and the world didn't end and both were successful.

I never understood this complaint
The source of these movies are comic books that have multiple series of the same characters running at the same time
There's new 52 Batman and Frank Miller Batman both with current books right now
There's new 52 Superman and Injustice Superman along with all the rest of the Injustice roster running right now
There's an Old Man Logan and a current time Wolverine at the same time and I think the current version was "dead" but how could that be if there's an old man version of him in the future lol
It's not unusual in the comic world
DC should be focusing on good stories and not whether "its all connected"
I'm really looking forward to the J. Phoenix Joker movie and don't really care if he's connected to the next Batman film

the big 3 over at DC can have hundreds of versions and no one is ever going to be confused. they are not ordinary characters they are american myths.

saying you can’t have more than one guy playing batman is like saying you can’t have more than one guy playing santa claus.

What comic fans accept and what the general public will is two different things
Maybe I’m wrong and they’ll be totally successful in spite of or because of

But like someone said when one portrayal is massively better than the other it’s not a good look
