I had to get the .srt file for the subs for every movie I downloaded up until a few months ago.
Now I don't use them so much, and I never use them on Netflix unless I'm watching something foreign.

i started turning on the subtitles for everything i watch like a decade ago....its basically a just in case thing for me now, like "just in case" i mishear a word or a joke goes over my head while i watch a comedy or something like that

Same reason why I have them on. It's also training for me when I decide to watch foreign shyt. When I stay without subs for too long dem shyts seem to go real fast when I come back to them.

I use subs cause my attention span is shot to shyt so sometimes I miss stuff if it's not a movie or show I'm real into. Mainly pilots and the first 20 mins of a movie when they're trying to plop u in the middle of a story and introduce you to the entire cast. If it's engaging enough after that point I usually turn them off though.
