It's interesting that what this guy is doing actually upsets people. Like alot of hate I imagine some of it comes from jealousy.

And jealousy is way off base.

All this learning, and he can't use a computer. Being 71 isn't an excuse when you've been in school for the last 35 years. They had computers classes 30 yrs ago. Definitely not something to be jealous of.

Im all for education, but knowing stuff, at a cost, just for the sake of knowing... :yeshrug:

They could just be talkin shyt, that's what i got from it. Y'all go to far with this "hate" garbage. People think it's dumb and discuss it. It don't mean they're hating. What he's doing is hella unconventional, and strange.

So if people say fukk him, then that's how they feel. Let them be.

Don't flip this around on me. I just said it was interesting, and offered an explanation for some of what I saw as "hate." If you want to use a different word for it, fine, but I think you know what I'm talking about.

And jealousy is way off base.

Its jealousy of the fact that this dude doesn't give a fukk. He's not fitting into the box they think everyone should fit into. It challenges people's preconceived notions of what he 'should' be doing, and that challenge upsets people. Like I said, it's interesting, to me at least.

I mean, I'm in Higher Learning right? or did I stumble into the Locker Room? :troll:

you say that as if i owe u an explanation

:childplease:

i wouldnt even owe u one in real life

You don't have an explanation because this deals with alot of subconscious shyt. That is the interesting part. This makes some people feel a certain way, but they can't explain why.

How am I flippin this around? Your input was that people were jealous and hateful. Two maybe three people said anything negative. The majority think it's weird and kept moving.

Yea, this is higher learning...

So maybe you could've just put how you felt about the article...:manny:

You're flipping it around by making it seem like I was out of line for saying that I found it interesting that people feel the need to hate on him. You said:

"So if people say fukk him, then that's how they feel. Let them be."

Am I not allowed to comment on what people say now? Let them be? They say "fukk him" and I'm out of line for saying the hate is interesting? What the fukkin fukk? That is flipping it around. Now somehow those that said "fukk him" are the victim. It's a card that gets much play on the interwebs, and I'm not fond of it.

That's not what I said. I try to choose my words carefully.

Two maybe three people said anything negative.

Then my comments were only about those people. But they say a hit dog will holler...

I'm sure the anti-college crew will find this guy offensive, but I can definitely commend him for his pursuit of knowledge. But the whole thing reeks of "small dikk" syndrome, because it seems as if he is simply collecting degrees for the sake of collecting them. Hell, any person trully dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge would have instead focused on reading and self edification after a certain point.

exactly, maybe this guy understands life to a certain extent that we don't.

Sure most people go to school with the intention of becoming rich or increasing their income.

Not being able to use a computer is kind of hindrance on his degrees. But it's not uncommon for older people to struggle with technology. Nothing knocks the old school ways of doing things(studying).

Some things just can't be explained. I know some people who are millionaires yet drive beat up Honda's and dress like bums. I know one guy who still works as a clerk for store, but has a few properties in his name. Breh doesn't even spend his paychecks.

Open up your perception....

Sh*T if I was rich, i'd probably dress like a bum too, save money on clothes. This would weave out flaky people who only d*ckride or be nice to you based on what materials you're "perceived" to own.

Funny how alot of people try to spend tons of money trying to look rich, yet some people who have money, don't floss it all...
