All these teams having interest in Steve Kerr out of the blue just reiterates my belief that some teams rather try to steal someone being hyped by the Knicks than find their own.

Anyone with sense knows Steve Kerr is wanted by the Knicks to be Phil Jackson proxy as HC and the running of the triangles.

But let the media mention the Knicks wanting someone and their value automatically goes up......

Despite what the media is pushing, I don't believe Kerr has even been offered the job because Phil “doesn't know whether or not he can take a job like this” or if he has “the personality the fans can believe in as a person, the confidence”, and “the charismatic appeal”. Personally, I find it very telling that he talked to him when the Kings were supposed to move to Seattle but then drags his feet in reaching out to him for the Knicks job. Discussing it and offering him the job is 2 different things.

I believe Phil will make the right moves. As a coach he was always one step ahead of his competition. Plus he seems to know how to get star players to get over the hump and win it all. Melo's got to be thinking this.

Kerr knows what he's doin. He knows Phil wants him and he's their only real candidate, so Dolan will be forced to cut the check. Plus he can use the Warriors as leverage, he's playin the game right now. Knicks need to push him back, tell him to bring back the same contract from GS and then they'll talk.

We gave Kidd 10.5 over 4 years with 7.5 guaranteed, which I thought was crazy for a first time coach, and Kerr wants triple that
