When you got Phil Jackson co-signing you...you gain leverage.

I'm not mad at him at all
I don't get why people counting other peoples money . If he flops he'll get brought out and fired . :yeshrug: same thing with Melo , the guy honestly to me doesn't have to take a pay cut if he doesn't want too . The bron situation was different as he knew he was signing with bosh /wade guaranteed .

He's clearly not worth that compared to other coaches in the game already. But from a fan perspective, does the coach's salary really matter?

I personally don't care what our coach's salary is but if I was Dolan I would tell him to eat a dikk. 30 million dollars for a guy who has never coached a day in his life :stopitslime:

If Phil think he's the best coach for the system they want to run then pay him whatever . Let's not start off Phil's era with a coach he doesn't want . Give him a chance

That's what I'm saying. Its not my money. It doesn't affect the Knicks cap. We brought Phil in to bring the Triangle and change the Knicks culture. Give phil the tools he feels he needs to do it

Paying a lot hasn't been the Knicks problem. Paying a lot on bad long term assets has been the problem. Larry Brown was bought out with a lot of money and it didn't affect the Knicks one iota..... Steve Kerr can be bought out as well to the same effect.

Seriously I feel completely disrespected by this muhfukka Kerr. This is a bad way you want to start off your tenure in NY. Maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, but I feel like the public isn't going to like this. It's not like we want him as a coach. No. We want his as the coach installing and implementing PHILS OFFENSE. There is a big difference between the two ideas.

In Phil I trust though.

I may be tripping but couldn't Pete Meyers, BJ Armstrong, or Pippen teach the same shyt as assistants?

If the team produces wins, nobody will care

If the team doesn't produce, people will want him gone. Whether he makes 10 million or 30,000 a year will be irrelevant imo
